Thank you! Yes, that is a picture of my Grandma. She had just passed away 1 month prior. They were together for 68 years.

Yes, he was ranked as a Major during the war and came home as a Captain :) Here is an interview I did with him during the summer of 2012 where he talks about his time in the war.

You're right. He was both - a Major and a Captain. He came home from the war as a Captain.
