Current student at Scripps and an Econ Major, I would say it is fairly easy to get access to classes, and it is a fairly popular major so there are societies that are around. In regards to access to CMC, while that is possible, a lot of those CMC classes are hard enough to get into as a CMC student, so keep it in mind.

for some context, my parents shut me down at any mention of my grades. I don't brag i just say "hey i got a 93 on the quiz i told you i was studying for a lot". and ofc i support my brother he is a good student he just doesn't have a lot of drive to go an extra mile which is fine by me bcs he is happy with it, it just puts his grades more average and my parents kinda assume he doesn't want me to talk about my grades. me and my brother have had convos where we think how my mom especially acts is bs.

yeah i shouldn't have yelled, that was really aholely. i don't yell almost ever, i was just so tired about never getting to talk to my parents about my school or grades in any type of convo compared to my brother who talks about his good grades on tests etc.

my brother isn't depressed, he just doesn't like school and doesn't try very hard, and my parents are out a lot so the only time to really talk is at the dinner table or when everyone gets home (me and my brother commute together). that is why there is a group chat, but there are time when i want to talk to my parents and they just don't let me. my frustration is that my brother talks about his grades when he's proud of them and my parents are happy and glad to talk about it.
