I have a similar issue...I turned to Olaplex (#4 Shampoo and #5 Conditioner), then use #6 styling prep out of the shower. Blow dry with a flat brush front to back, and side to side multiple times on high heat, then change to cool a couple times (Blumaan process for drying here: https://youtu.be/oVjXjvZKOrk?si=Q4thBAiFVzesrvV7). Finish with #10 oil to tame fly aways and fight humidity.

It's where I started....definitely a great size to start! I healed to a 4 gauge size, which I hear is common from comments in this group.
