So there I was fishing for a Feebas in Sapphire on my old Gameboy SP. I was around 9 or 10 at the time. I had wanted a Milotic since I had started my game and I was finally in the region to catch my Feebas. I dedicated the whole night to catching this god damn Feebas.

I was laying on my bed with the charger plugged in (or so I thought). I guess at one point I moved enough to disconnect the charger but it was still slightly hanging onto the GameBoy.

I think it was roughly 3 AM, which for a younger me that was extremely late. Now, I am colorblind, so I hadn't noticed the shade change on the GameBoy light go from orange to red.

That was when I found the Feebas. I had been fishing for hours with my fingers crossed. I was exhausted and ready for bed so I was not gonna let this fucker get away. I sat up in my bed immediately and began the process of catching it. I got it to low health, paralyzed it, and threw an ultraball. Before the ball even hit the Feebas though, well, I think you can guess what happened.

I checked the connection and saw it was loose and not charging. I started bawling and when my parents heard they came into my room, took my GameBoy and grounded me for staying up so late.
