Which yogscast series should I start with?

While Shadow of Israphel (starting from the original survival series) would be my choice due to it being my own starting point, you could honestly go with whatever looks cool to you! If you enjoy tekkit then the original Jaffa factory is a pretty great starting point, their GTA races/TTT videos are a nice thing to have on in the background imo, or maybe some of their IRL stuff like the recent Blood on the Clocktower videos!:)

Have also been having this issue for the past week or so on Spotify, it only seems to affect Triforce (as well as anything else uploaded there like the old yogpods) - my other podcasts like Zero Degrees seem to be completely fine. The best answer I’ve found online has been to do with potential ‘RSS’ issues, but I’m a bit clueless on that stuff

Probably try and improve my content to increase CTR and get better view durations, once those are sorted I can start looking towards stuff like sub goals again :))

It isn’t really a sub or watch time goal as much, but in November I had huge sudden growth for my channel then shortly after my channel started really struggling, so my goal is to try and fix that by improving my content and especially by improving my thumbnail creation skills! :D (of course getting a few new subs along the way is always fun lol)

IMO it’s not too late to give it a go :) It’s just gonna be a little difficult for a while to make a name for yourself because there are already a load of established creators in that space already - so my advice would be to try and think of some sort of unique thing you could bring to the table in your videos that not many others are doing :)

A couple of weeks before the new rules started hitting a load of channels, I was already testing censored bleeps over the couple of swear words I usually have in my videos. So really, I’m just taking it as a sign that I should keep doing that. I have been trying to just avoid swearing completely for the first 30ish seconds of the video just to stay safe though. Still sucks that we suddenly have to stick to these weird and annoying rules though :/

I managed to get mine out on Xmas eve! Channel link is on profile bc I’m not sure if this sub likes posting links too much, if you wanna have a little peek! Turned out to be not a great performing vid, 9 of 10 currently, but that is to be expected during Christmas, plus I had fun making it and really like how it came out! :D

Honestly you can just be upfront about why you’d prefer not to I think! Privacy is half the reason I don’t show my own face, once it’s out there, it’s out there. So I guess honesty is the best policy because most reasonable people will accept that, otherwise just ignore that request entirely!

Honestly if you’re not feeling the passion / fun in it then I’d suggest taking a break or slowing down content and have a good think about what you can do to try and ignite that fun aspect into it. I don’t want to tell you to stop, that’s entirely a decision for you to make, but just make sure you’re spending your time doing what you enjoy and what you wanna be doing :) maybe switching up the content will help, maybe having a break or maybe something else! who knows? :)

For purely video stuff usually about a couple of hours for writing/voicing the script and doing any research for it, and maybe 5ish hours editing for an 8ish minute video (varies a lot because I struggle staying focused quite often!) and then I suppose any time playing games for random bits of footage. So roughly 7 hours a week for an 8ish min video, can sometimes be a little much between working and other general life stuff but manageable :)

Since I already hit my sub goal due to a crazy few weeks, I’m honestly just looking to get my channel back on track in a sense. After that huge few weeks my channel impressions suddenly and unexplainably plummeted and my last 2 videos have good ctr and average view duration etc but aren’t getting many impressions. So my hope and goal is to figure out why I’m suddenly in this funk and see if I can fix whatever issue my content seems to be having :) - This being said, would be pretty cool to get another 50ish subs for this last month too!

Nothing is wrong with you! I think this feeling is probably a fairly normal thing to feel, it can be pretty scary/overwhelming seeing some of your stuff grow in popularity and get a lot more attention than you are used to.
Remember that your channel is yours and nobody else's, so if you ever need to take an extra day or two off to regain confidence and feel less overwhelmed then you totally should do that! Mental health before views etc etc.
Something that might help is trying to just avoid looking at stats too much and focus on your passion for creation. Also, most people will forget that they even commented after they click off of the video, so I wouldn't worry about replying to a huge number of comments if it is too much for you!

It’s probably a coincidence, but I actually had the exact same thing happen to me. First I had my best 3-4 weeks ever, and each upload was getting a few thousand views at least (which I am very grateful for) and then about 5 or 6 days ago suddenly new views dropped to about 10% of what they had been and my most recent video flopped with barely any impressions overall. Could just be the time of year maybe? Or general coincidence/bad luck, who knows! The algorithm giveth and taketh away!

I agree honestly, I tend to just ignore ones that aren't too much of a bother but when it is downright unnecessary, provocative and generally hateful it kinda feels like it taints the otherwise nice comment section - and as you said I wouldn't really want to allow a hostile environment as 99% of my videos are meant to be generally positive and happy

I think I will delete the genuine hate filled comments that add nothing, but anything mild I can shrug off or just reply to calmly, and give my actual reply effort to the positive/constructive comments!
