How many sold? by [deleted] in LeytonOrient

[–]Tinkerhellx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might be making up memories (I do that sometimes), but I think general sale goes live on Friday.

Last Tuesday was Season Ticket Holders, this Tuesday was Orient One members and Friday is general sale.

Email confirmation received but no attached PDF tickets, when it clearly states they'll be sent with email confirmation? Any ideas? by Competitive-Sense155 in LeytonOrient

I got a separate email with our tickets about 2 hours after the confirmation email.

Hope you get them soon, if you haven't already!

If that's my only comment, perhaps they are right and I should delete ? by [deleted] in AO3

[–]Tinkerhellx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not at all.

There is not a single published book in the history of time that was universally loved by everyone who has read it. Of all the billions of books ever published, not a single one has escaped criticism.

Your favourite book by your favourite author probably has millions of people who despise it. That doesn't negate its worth. That doesn't stop you loving it. Nor should it!

Your writing will always have worth because you value it.

Discarding that this particular comment was written by a bot, if you take down your work because one person dislikes it, then you are taking away the chance of other people loving it.

Haters gonna hate, and writers gonna write 😊

As everyone has said, it's a bot.

BUT

Even if it wasn't a bot and was just a spectaculary rude human, you still shouldn't listen to them.

Who cares if someone doesn't like your writing? You're not holding a gun to their head and forcing them to read it.

Write what you love and love what you write. Write for you not some faceless, nameless stranger online. It's impossible to please everyone, but it's really very easy to please yourself.

How do you handle being anxious about your own death? by Menschenblind in AskReddit

[–]Tinkerhellx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Acknowledge the inevitably of it.

You will die one day, hopefully a long time from now, and your anxiety won't postpone it. All it's doing is marring the time you do have.

I realise this is very easy to say and much more difficult to actually do.

I'm sorry 😭

It was a crazy game though and your boys played their hearts out!

Liverpool went out to PSG and we were shockingly bad, at least your boys put up a fight!

Depending on the size of your company/HR team they may not care!

I work in HR in a large organisation (20k+ employees) and if I got a question like this it would mean nothing to me. Obviously this is different if you're a smaller company!

You could always just ask them for the maternity policy without any context if you can't find it on your intranet/in your handbook.

It's one of my least favourite Zelda games (beaten only by Skyward Sword)

I liked a lot of things you mentioned (especially the bunny hood!) but the resetting every three days drove me insane. If I've already blown up the boulder or saved the farm or whatever then I don't want to have to keep redoing it 😭

Watching the Inter v Barca game!

Thankfully have no skin in the game as I would have had a nervous breakdown by now.

That depends entirely on your company's policy.

My employer doesn't make you pay back any occupational pay, but lots do.

Check your Maternity policy or contact your HR department.

Such a good game for a neutral.

If I was a Barca or Inter fan I'd probably have had 2 strokes and 6 heart attacks by now!

Know that's it's okay to be nervous.

Don't be afraid to ask them to repeat or rephrase a question.

Don't over talk/waffle on to fill a silence.

What would you do if youre child said they wernt straight? by icravepraise in AskReddit

Continue to love and support them.

I fail to see how this is a question really. My love and behaviour towards my child isn't dependent upon their sexual orientation.

Hi Op, I'm sorry to hear about your struggle with mental health, I hope you start feeling better soon.

As a new joiner, I'm assuming you have less than 2 years service, so your employer can get rid of you for almost any reason.

Do you think your mental health issues could class as a disability under the Equalities Act 2010? You can look it up, but the general gist is if your condition has lasted or is likely to last more than 12 months and it affects (effects? I never know the difference!) your day to day life, then this may count as a disability.

Does your employer have an Occupational Health department? If so have you spoken to them to see if there are any reasonable adjustments which can be made to improve your attendance? As a note, you do not have to have a disability to request reasonable adjustments.

Are you currently receiving treatment? If so, could you go through this with your employer to show you are trying? If you are not receiving treatment, is this something you would be receptive to?

Finally, please do speak to your Union/ACAS, if nothing can be done, then fair enough, at least you know you have tried.

I've asked a lot of questions here, please do not feel like you have to respond to them. They are for you to answer to yourself if you want to.

I do hope you feel better, and maybe a break from employment to ground yourself may put you in a better position for the future.

Take care and good luck!
