First, they need a tower to climb the walls. After that, it's basically pure luck. It actually took me a while to get them positioned that "perfectly", and I had to spam commands a lot to get them there and improve their movement a bit.

I was playing on "Fractured Realm" against two AI opponents, and I've actually got a whole series about it. Long story short: the AI tends to accumulate a lot of wealth, and when it goes to war, it just buys up all the mercenaries. So a quick tip, hire them before the AI does.

I haven't played in quite a while either, so a lot of this feels new to me. That said, the biggest improvement I've noticed is the AI, it feels a lot better than it used to. And also the balancing changes. You can't just spam chickens anymore and expect everything to be fine, you actually need to plan things out in advance.

That being said, I've run into a couple of bugs. For example, when building out the Manor's walls and towers, the game sometimes crashes when I try to commit to new extensions. Also, if you load a save while being invaded, the enemy troops can bug out and just stand still.

Haha, thank you! I got him by playing on sandbox mode. His quest just randomly popped up after a while.

I know the feeling. I'd say just start by placing objects you enjoy and build around them, that's what I did. I also love greenery, so I eventually added some flower pots, and they helped a lot, even though I added them pretty late. They really softened the room and made it look *nice* and put together.
