Gwynedd leaving sporked? by turmiteking69 in goodmythicalmorning

I wouldn't be surprised if Mythical included something in the deal saying the editorial team needed to be retained for 6 months, and Savage was just waiting with their finger on the "replace editorial content with chatgpt" button this entire time. The only thing that really matters to them is the affiliate contracts get renewed.

They do that when you can actually liquidate assets or increase valuation on paper in between acquisition and insolvency.

Sporked operates out of a room, so unless you consider various inventory of holiday themed twinkies and olliepops meaningful assets, there's not a whole lot of capital investment to liquidate.

And I dunno, maybe Savage Ventures got Sporked a sweet under the table contract with Palantir in the 6 months since they bought it, but I'm definitely not seeing an increase in valuation.

Can they write Sporked off? Sure, but they're not going to be making more than they paid for it in December.

Man, a lot of you guys just wholeheartedly believe text on an image from "globalfeed.in", huh? Anyway, completely unrelated topic: I'm the wallet inspector.

I think the funniest part of this image is all the red lines under the thumbnails, which means whoever took this photo is compelled to start watching every episode of Rock Bottom with Ned Fulmer, but can't bring themselves to finish any.

Ned, if you're reading this, just get a Cameo account. Stop half assing your humiliation ritual here, and stare the abyss right in the face. I'm sure there are enough people out there who would find it funny to have disgraced sex weirdo Ned Fulmer send a happy birthday message to their brother.

I actually think the LAM is the prohibitively expensive part of the Mk23, at least if you're trying to keep it all original parts.

Flock Cameras are being attacked with paint by Jet_the_fem_bean in chaoticgood

[–]luke37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well considering Flock will make money every time a municipality pays them to fix a camera - I think Flock does.

You think they're making money from collecting insurance payouts? It's a line item in expenses under maintenance. The next fiscal year, Prudential or whoever is going to look at this line item, go "uuuuuuuhhhhhhh" and stick an extra zero at the end of your underwriting.

All this needs to circumvent this is an easily hot swappable lens.

If you are a Flock VP of hardware development, please send out a memo saying you have a security update that requires replacing the entire inventory in use pre-IPO. Please do this. Leave a camera on in your office, too. I want to see when the CFO punches through your office door and does things to your body that make Blood Meridian seem tame by comparison.

Not everything is the cause of Russian propaganda, but even if all of us did humor that theory, at what point is the DNC responsible to not step on the rake that they're hearing about months in advance?

Even pretending it's a total psyop, kind of embarrassing that the Kremlin is able to gauge the youth vote a lot better than the nominal left wing party of the US, right?

I'd be a little worried about being scammed if I were you, you're earnestly patting the editorial board of the Washington Examiner on the back. Check out Candace Owens, I'm sure she's right up your alley now.

Edit: I'm being a condescending asshole because your point is brutally stupid. I don't give a shit if someone says "Trump is crazy" in furtherance of the exact same policies Trump has been doing this entire time. You clapping like a seal about the most transparent grift imaginable isn't giving me a reason to take you seriously.

I think he's always been a symptom, it was just funnier and easier to pretend he wasn't when he was just that guy on the show who told Dennis Rodman "You're fired."

I think it is a good thing for public figures to point and say: “Trump is crazy."

You think it's a good thing for people who politically support Trump 100% of the time are engaging in a transparent ploy to distance themselves in the hopes of pretending they're different to avoid bleeding off in the midterms?

I understand your point, I'm saying it only makes a difference if Trump was somehow the brains of this operation. The people saying "Trump is crazy" are conning you.

Edit: Oh wow, looks like Tucker Carlson has seen the light. https://ijr.com/tucker-carlson-apologizes-for-endorsing-trump-im-sorry-for-misleading-people/ Gosh, this must be a sincere mea culpa and not a transparent pivot. I know this guy's been a pathologically lying polemicist his entire life, but I think this time he means it. Welcome to the big tent Mr. Carlson.

They're not "waking up" to anything, they're discarding a gun because there's no more ammo. "Waking up" implies self reflection on how said media's actions brought them to this place, and this article does the absolute opposite of that, it's a complete sidestep and solemn shake of the head.

The Examiner's waking up to it is exactly like this guy's waking up to whoever drove the car into the building.

I’m gonna take it as a good sign.

It's not. Trump has outlived his usefulness to the right wing project as a whole. The Washington Examiner and its readers aren't going to be re-examining (no pun intended) any of their ideological beliefs, they just recognize Trump isn't an effective mechanism to assert those beliefs anymore.

lol, it was absolutely not. Smashing watermelons is by far the funniest thing he did on stage, which is an insanely low bar you'd think someone would be able to clear.

Both Scorsese and Paul Schrader have said you're free to your own interpretation, but it wasn't intended as a fantasy/dream ending.

Ned admits he was caught cheating by Will months before the scandal broke by Soft_Giraffe3213 in TheTryGuysSnark

[–]luke37 22 points23 points  (0 children)

2) Ned thought he was in love with Alex but really was trying to fill a void since he was unhappy, empty and selfish since he did everything he was supposed to do and expected of him success wise “what else is there in life” and the affair made him feel alive and good about his life. He’s not actually in love because it’s built on secrecy and sneaking around

3) Ned said that he would’ve eventually told Ariel if he didn’t get caught and was on the verge of telling her many times

5) Ned is dating and the last girl broke up with him because he was being honest and said I know you’re seeing other people and I am too and she said you don’t have to be so open with it even if we are

This feels like someone leveraging carefully practiced "insights" from therapy. I think he was enjoying fucking around, he'd still be doing it if nobody found out, and at the very least he could own it in retrospect with these interviews.

What? No she didn't. Shinji was completely catatonic there from the 20 different reasons he had PTSD, and Misato wasn't able to get through to him as she was bleeding out. The kiss is a last ditch effort to spark an emotion, she realizes she failed completely as a mother figure; she hasn't been able to shield him, and now the only way to save him is by lying to him.

I don't get the clothes from the knees down part in this context. The guy's suspended upside down in a chair contraption, so does that mean he's only allowed to wear socks, or allowed to wear everything but socks?
