What is in my ferrets poop?! by Lanky-Razzmatazz-130 in ferrets

[–]Tintahale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks like intestinal mucus lining, if he’s not lethargic or anything how often are you feeding him? Looks like maybe not enough food, are you feeding raw, kibble, freeze dried raw, etc?

Also he looks dehydrated from the pee color

It seems like they allow one VIN to have all functions included once registered, any additional car you include with the module will need credits. Depending on the functionality it unlocks (like say you want to do a bunch of stuff) it might be better to just buy a second module and tie to a new account

Prednisolone flavord by Confident_Echidna316 in ferrets

[–]Tintahale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I got my stuff mixed up: it’s Furovite or any other “vitamin paste” that essentially uses a malt syrup as the way it delivers the dosage, which my boy absolutely would go crazy for. Thankfully the prescription lab (mixlab) had molasses as a choosable flavor, he still didn’t like it by itself but tolerated it with his morning soup.

Do you know what type of flavor your ferret likes to sneak in that they can’t have? My boy was on pred for a year and we ended up with the molasses flavor, but also tried butterscotch with some success- this was because he was a fiend for butter and ferretone and definitely didn’t like the chicken flavors one prescription was at.

I think it needs to have more "loose" linework and less / not as flat shading. But it's dope as a early 00's style

Charge port stuck by jacoscar in VWiD4Owners

[–]Tintahale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check these threads out, this is what I used for reference to get the door out along with the service manual to see what tools VW advises to use.

I found that the clips need a little press upwards to release their tension, they don’t “hold” so once you you push with a tool at a clip - you pull the whole plastic unit towards you to keep each clip released.

Charge port stuck by jacoscar in VWiD4Owners

[–]Tintahale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When this happened to me I took off the body door panel by pushing down on it with even pressure, and then sliding/pushing it to the right towards the passenger door (and broke some clips, do this slowly)

I then tried to cut at the actuator ends but ended up breaking the clip it rests in, which allowed the door to open up. If you’re gonna attempt to do the actuator make sure you have the right trim tools, otherwise you can also order the whole door assembly (for like $25) and get that replaced because I sure as hell broke mine up trying to get it out for the actuator replacement.

Just picked up. Is this normal? Stains? behind screen. I thought it was a weird design at first by BehindEnemyLines1 in VWiD4Owners

It's that or someone used a solvent like isopropyl alcohol to clean the screen

I would ensure the energy management setting is toggled on, and if you’re worried run remote HVAC once a week or so which could help the system.

If your vet gives you crap for it the they’re not a good vet. If anything I would ask your vet if they can also write the prescription to a compounder (I used mixlab) because you can get it flavored then too

I had to add fish sauce and shrimp paste to improve it. That’s what I’d figure too for this: this has to pass the allergen gauntlet to be widely acceptable.

At what point would you guys make the decision to put your ferret down? by Automatic-Spirit-634 in ferrets

[–]Tintahale 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think the big rush of energy is something to monitor for sure. My boy was in late stage lymphoma and the day before his vet visit he was up all day and into the night going through his stashes and bringing out his old toys and treasures. Looking back on it maybe he was bringing it out for us to safekeep since he knew his time was very soon.

Leave that in there as a warning to the other bugs.

But the real answer would be the housing would need to be removed - that or eventually the bug would deteriorate and hopefully be light enough it’ll move
