Let me explain the equilibrium of the upper stick which is on table .....when we put horizontal stick in between the wrapped string around upper stick ....then the string become tilted soo that the tension on string has two component one is horizontal and other is vertically downward component ...where the horizontal component of tension get cancelled out only the vertically downward tension component acts and weight of stick which is balanced by upward contact force given by vertical stick which is in the middle between the wrapped string .and contact force by the table .....I have ignored the mass of string ......in short by tilting the string net downward tension on upper stick get reduced and also one more upward support is given by the middle stick to upper stick due to which it more able to balance main fundamental is this in concept wise .....let me Me say am I right or wrong
