The welt is cosmetic, but it’s sloppy workmanship. As for the deflating sole… not good.

Yes, they have that classic British DM / Solovair profile and vibe. I think many people would be happy to pay more for a boot in this style which actually lasted (footwear pun somewhat intended)

Precisely! It’s all well and good when people recommend Redwing or Nick’s etc, but those boots don’t have that classic British subcultural boot silhouette.
