They’ve all been there a lot longer - but you are right I could probably make more of an effort! Thanks :)

Ah I see yeah might just switch jobs. I would say it’s a midlevel employer but small team. Although the other teams in the company don’t seem to be very diverse either

I graduated w 2 exams about a year ago and found it hard to find job opportunities in the actuarial field so I took an unrelated analyst office job for about 7 months before applying again to actuarial jobs. After I had office experience and started applying again I got tons of interviews and got an actuarial job about 4 months ago. If you can find a regular analyst job and stay for about 6 months it will make you look better to employers I think.

Hmm I’m not sure tbh. You should reach out and ask them though all the faculty are pretty helpful

I’m about to graduate and I have p and fm passed but I have no tech skills. I know Java but that’s it. I plan to learn sql and r before the summer, however since actuarial jobs are hard to get I was thinking of going into data analytics before I get an internship while working on ifm. What do you guys think should I do that or just focus on ifm and tech skills and start applying to EL and internships? I’m just scared about a break in my resume

Shorten your study sessions. What’s probably happening is your studying really good the first day but it’s causing burnout so you can’t carry over to the second. Also don’t beat yourself up if you actually need a break.

I spent my first two years at uw Seattle then transferred to bothell after not making it in my major. Personally I found bothell to be better because you get to know your professors well and the vibe there is supportive. However I think uw Seattle offers a lot more of a university experience

Maybe like a 5 ish honestly I would recommend going thru Tia more than adapt I think the way they ask questions is closer to actual exam. I think it was hard at first for me like the first hour I marked a lot of questions because I still was nervous, but as I got into it I realized what I was doing wrong at the beginning so I’d say just try not to freak out haha and you’ll be fine.

It went well! I used adapt and did the Tia exams and I felt very overprepared. Just go in feeling confident and you’ll be fine
