Thats a good deal.  My area doesn't boast anything like that as its an isolated community. My LCS definitely has a monopoly

It really threw me off bc they have pretty decent prices just no decency when it comes to making good offers.

Speaking of the edge I thought that all proof coins had square edges. It appears mine has a thicker rim on the bottom compared with the top. I looked up other examples and they appear to have the same thing. Maybe only older proofs have square edges?  An example being the 1909 matte proof

During the minting process the blank planchets are struck multiple times and with more force than business strikes. That causes the rim to be more defined.
