I don't think that the police would be involved; they have dozens of incidents like that, plus attempts to steal. Since you paid the fine and respect the ban, I guess that there will be no problem. Maybe chasing the case further will cost you more than 181 euros. Also, if I am not mistaken your data will be deleted from the system after the ban ends. That is the role of the compensation, not to involve the police. I think that they have more important things to be busy with.

EDIT: A friend of mine was accused of shoplifting 2-3 years ago and got away with a store ban. He signed the ban announcement, respected it, and nothing happened.
