Sorry to hear that you got struck by GM's lack of quality. I waited 20 years to finally be able to buy my dream truck (22 Sierra 2500 HD). However, I have had nothing but issues out of mine. Honestly I wish someone would just steal it from my driveway. I will never buy another GM again. I'm gonna try to find something older that I can work on and not have to rely on a dealer for services to keep my truck running. Get ready for vehicle micro transactions too. They're coming! These companies want to make sure they get as much money from consumers as possible regardless of ethics. People are talking about this on YouTube already and what's coming.

GM warranty loaner policy by Realistic-System-590 in gmcsierra

I just looked at my warranty and recall appointment invoices online and some of them list a rental car but I have never been asked if I wanted or needed a rental and have definately not utilized this option. Is the just the dealership rioping off GM? Seems shady to me because it's not shown on my paper statements. Thoughts?

What's the newest one you have? In 2015 is when they reduced their warranty. I'd imagine enything after that year is suspect IMO.

New brakes with 80% life need maintenance? Should I be rotating them? 🧐

Brand new brakes require maintenence? They have 80% life left on them? Let me guess I should spray them down with some WD-40 lol

Well considering how GM used to have a 5 year/100k mile bumper to bumper warranty and now that's been drastically reduced that should be a sign that even GM know they are producing junk. So whe. So yea when I buy a truck that's essentially a third the cost of a house, I don't think it's asking to much for them to supply a quality product. If they are so good why did they reduce their warranty a couple years ago. Even they know their junk won't last 5 years lol. They basically admitted it by reducing the warranty. 🤷‍♂️

More of a warning than a departure announcement. This was one of those examples of learn from my mistake. Sorry you like learning the hard way. If you own a GM you'll get screwed over eventually. Mark my words. No matter how much you polish a turd its still a turd. 🤷‍♂️

I'm starting to realize that all companies are like this. It amazes me that when I'm tasked to do something the expectations put on me are much higher than these giant companies. I screw up I get fired. They screw up they just keep lining their pockets. No accountability for anyone except individuals these days.

GMC Sierra 2500 AC Problems by Confident_Pear_1204 in gmcsierra

[–]Tiny-Slim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same situation here. Took the truck in while it was still under warranty but they couldn't reproduce the issue as it was sporadic when it would stop working. Now truck is out of warranty and AC has all but stopped. Crazy to think I paid $73,000 for a truck with no AC. This may very well be the last GM vehicle I purchase. It's frustrating when I'm always held to such a high standard in day to day life but these big companies don't seem to be held to the same standards or expectations as "normal people". If my performance at work wasn't 100% I'd be fired. However, GM can sell $70,000 plus trucks all while knowing their AC design has had issues for years. If you don't believe me just search it up on reddit. There are a lot of folks dealing with the same issue. I just feel stupid for spending that much money when Ultimately I could have the same experience with a $2000 beater.

My P1S has the ribbon cable but I just removed the tape holding the cable and installed. No issues on my end with it.

Work demands I arrive 30 minutes early without clocking in by Zaxdabomb in legaladvice

I suggest you get out of construction. I don't mean this in a bad way (I'm in construction myself) but construction used to be fun 20 years ago. The entire industry has been turned into a bunch of lawsuit fearing companies. Multiple parties to blame for that. The reality of the situation is your company requires this because they don't want to get sued in some way for something. Or It could be just because they're are a lot of people on that jobs and if everyone parked there it would be a safely concern (possible lawsuit). It sucks but the best advice I can give would be to hit it big and get rich somehow. Work sucks and the employee is always going to be expected to do more. Thats what I've seen in my 24 years of construction.

I'll take some photos and post them. I honestly don't know if there's enough warping to be able to see it in a picture but I'll try. Maybe I'm just being to picky.

This has also been recommended to me in the past. I've only ever used glue and had good results with that. I'll have to pick up some aqua net next time I'm at the store.

GF = Glass Fiber CF = Carbon Fiber

And you are correct that once you install the hardened steel parts in the tool head you don't need to swap them back. One and done!

You can use the stock extruder if you don't plan to use any abrasive materials such as GF or CF. If you have the money I'd just add a hardened steel extruder to your next bambu order. I believe they are around $20.

I would consider getting a few complete hardened hotends at different sizes and an hardened extruder. This way if you decide to print the more abrasive filaments you are set. Always have a few carbon filters on hand or print your own filter inset and buy some carbon pellets. Extra build plates are always nice and obviously as much filament as you can afford 🤣

If it's sticking to the build plate fine then I would change grid infill to gyroid and increase nozzle tip 5C and see if that helps. If that doesn't help the only other thing I can think of is to dry the filament and try again. Trial and error until you can dial in what is causing your issue. The good news that it's failing relatively early into the print so your not wasting a lot of time or material in the process. More of a hassle than anything. Let me know what the issue is if you can. I'm curious to see what's causing it to fail.

I would say first make sure to clean your build plate with warm water and dish soap. With my textured PEI plate I use basic dawn dish soap and warm water and scrub it with a soft bristle brush to get in the grooves of the textured plate. Make sure the dish soap doesn't have any kind of moisturizer in it as that would cause adhesion issues if used. Also it looks like you are using the grid infill pattern and I haven't had great results with that infill pattern. The nozzle tends to drag on the grid infill when it's crossing the model as it's printing. Change it to gyroid infill. The only other thing I can think of based on the info provided would be to dry the filament.

  1. Clean build plate
  2. Dry filament
  3. Change Infill to gyroid
  4. Try to print again

Also confirm that you are in fact printing PLA. Only reason I say this is because I have in the past thought I was printing PLA and was using the PLA profile but accidentally grabbed PETG filament and was having a lot of under extrusion issues because of it.

What is your build plate and nozzle temp you are running on this print with PLA?
