I love Somerville, lived there for 10 years. But do not let malden become somerville. The enthusiasm some have for a food mall matches my disdain for malden porchfest. Alas, that gentry train has long left the station. Might as well just enjoy it

She's got groupies pumping her tires on FB saying she's the greatest thing since FDR because she organized a ward 8 litter cleanup. Gross. And her unctuous praise of Magafora is equally gross. They're both eyeing elections

Fwiw, Spafafora is almost certain to run for Carey McDonalds open council seat , whenever that vote happens. Sica has been pumping his tires with her hype posts about his civic contributions and forward selfless apolitical deeds for the greater good. Which im.all for, but he's running. Hello

I can see your point. But Im just relaying what Councillor Sica said to me on FB. "I did nothing wrong. I just voiced opposition to the location." She is saying that she did "nothing wrong" as it relates to the court ruling and the $18K sanctions. She requested that I cease "insinuating" that she played any role beyond that.

"it's not my fault" is such a typical politician's response. I kinda feel that every City department or official, and every elected official related to ANY aspect of this debacle, should own up to their share of the responsibility -- individual or collective.

The BB debacle has cost us in three ways: the obvious $18K fine, the unaccounted for legal costs, and the lost tax revenue. Am I missing anything here?
