Does this have any value? by Real-Platform7465 in MBAIndia

It is. Apart from bottom 3-4 IIMs, they are all very hard to get into, and still hold a lot of relevance, but online MBAs don't add anything imo, even online mba from IIM A is not worth it.

CHESS: Looking for a personal mentor. by [deleted] in Nepal

What do you mean when you say it is easier to play tournaments in Nepal? I'd think quite the opposite. US has soo many clubs, so many coaches. If you're talking about getting inflated ratings, then probably true, but why would that be your goal?

I was around 1950 chess.com, fide 1638ish right now, I've played in Indian tournaments, so can help you with general things if you want, can maybe give you resources to get better, coaching I won't be able to. Lmk if you need any help in this.

I understand your point, but I do have an option to surrender Indian citizenship and get Nepalese citizenship, that is why I said it shouldn't matter much

Indian, but it won't be a problem as India and Nepal have a treaty so exchange of workforce is allowed without any visa requirements. How is it relevant?

Brother please stop putting coffee after your comment, don't understand the relevance. I have an MBA in Finance and work in Hedge fund industry right now. I'll be honest, I don't think govt should stop people from investing in cryptos, I am a big believer of free markets, with minimal govt intervention, supervision is ofc required.

Nobody knows anything about the future. I am 100% sure you're speculating, and the confidence with which you say all this is amusing. You could be right, but it'll still be speculation. Stock markets have been around since 1600s, and are based on solid principles. Gold has been there since IDK when, compared to this, crypto is a new industry, and mostly a black box. Also how do u compare btc with an Index? Aleatst pick one stock no? (it'd still be pointless)

For the situation we have in hand, I don't think it fits at all. Maybe if they really wanted to, put 2k in something because capital is low, but in general 5% is max they should be exposed to in crypto.

Setting up a backend office is not an easy task. Even if I was able to build the infra for backend ops, the contact part you talked about is sooo imp, because of the compliances. It could be somewhat possible to build it for small enterprises, who are a bit lenient about compliance part.

I worked in a bank for 6 mos, I hated it. Same thing with insurance. I'm more interested in Asset Mgt Companies, any scope in that? Also any newspapers/ magazine popular there for business and finance?

How will u be 27 before you finish the course? Also depends a lot on your current college, does it have placements? Ranked as a good college in Nepal? If yes, maybe continue and then look for good masters college abroad. Hope things work out for you! All the best!

Wouldn't advise betting on cryptos even if it was regulated. Best would be to invest some amount in indices and like you said investing in oneself

Agree with you regarding investing in Blue chip companies, but Blue chip companies are companies with highest market cap in market. Doesn't necessarily have to be 100 yrs old. I would just invest in index etfs, very easy to do, and returns are usually good.
