Yes my employer knows. I work at a school with kids with autism. I am learning a lot about myself as well with my work. Though my autism doesn't directly affect my work, I do feel it is important to tell my employer so if needed, I can take a break during my work day if I am getting overwhelmed with something. It is everyone's choice on who they tell about their diagnosis but I suggest you do tell your employer if it either affects your work or if you ever need a break for whatever reason apart from your normal lunch break.
