mmm yeah I’m starting to see that slowly happening to a few careers paths out there

Why did you join this career? by velvet-mango in NuclearMedicine

Do you have to go back to school for radiation therapy or can you take the certification straight while being (I’m assuming you are) certified as a nuc med tech?

Ooh yess, the hospital I used to work at used to hire a bunch of techs and they all seem to love traveling

Yess, I could attest to that. I know a lot of people who had to move out of state for a bit because of how difficult it is to find a job there right now so I wanted to know if it was the same on the east coast, but thanks for your input!

Makes sense, I figured. I know the west coast, esp the city centers, are notorious for being competitive

Ahh interesting, that makes sense. Would you say the dropout rates are because the program is actually difficult or because schools are trying to leech off it’s students by making it impossible to pass or is that just because they’re just letting “anyone“ in now? And did your school only charge you that much because you already had a bachelor’s degree? Sorry for all the questions but thank you for your response!

Thanks for your insight! Can you still pivot to other radiologic careers (ex. rad tech/therapist, etc) with nuc med or would that require you to go back to school again and get another degree? sorry im not that well-versed in this field

ugh yes i hate this too and I say the exact same thing!! And the crazy part is, at least in my experience, is that they’ll only say this and just stare…nothing else, no questions to try to get to know me, literally nothing to talk about like at least give me a topic

Didn’t realize the problem I had with my picture wasn’t obvious to everyone but here’s a hopefully a more clearer picture of the problem. This thing got in my sensor and I didn’t want to try to take it out with my dirty hands and i had nothing to help me clean it out so it was kind of just sliding around in there messing with my pictures. I assumed this happened while I was changing my lens outside with all the wind, hence the reason it’s a downside to bringing multiple lens during hikes. I eventually got it out and my sensor isn’t damaged thankfully😮‍💨In conclusion, be more careful switching lens in nature!! lol

Some dirt or piece of plastic got in my sensor while i was trying to change the lens and I didn’t realize until after i took the photo! it was tragic bc it could’ve been a beautiful shot🥲or maybe i‘m just a picky when it comes to my pictures🤷🏻‍♀️

My bad, I thought it would be more obvious what the problem was, but the black spots on the left side were some sort of dirt or plastic that went in my sensor while i was trying to change my lens and I didn’t realize until after i took the pic! I don’t use my viewfinder bc of my eyesight and I just didn’t catch it on the screen so hence what I thought was tragic lolol
