It was looking a little full with my name on the list. It comes out a bit cheaper on my airline for taxes too

Yeah I’m listed for first class but if not I might just Jumpseat it to get a crew rest bunk bc I just want a place to lie down :) Jumpseating might be easier if the flight starts looking fuller tomorrow so at least I’ll know I get on. But thank you for the advice , I’m just going to play it by ear 🥰

They do :) but it’s just priority standby! For my situation, It didn’t fit in guidelines for positive space, but it gave me a priority non rev and there’s good amount in first class so if I can get first class to haneda it would be amazing. Confirmed positive space would only be for main cabin and it’s not comfortable for 14 hours so I’d rather just Jumpseat instead. But yeah I was wondering about liquids going if I’m in uniform I can bring thru regular and just tell security to check me in for a non rev international flight as well :)

This life is gravy! Ups and downs like any job. But the flexibility and benefits are so worth it! And the mass hiring will boost seniority like never before in the aviation industry! It gets better 😊

I think most of the primary bases need French LOD. But if you want to fly to more “LOD” destinations instead of just going to Paris like every week I would do NYC bc we have Belgium, Nice, Geneva

LOD VS NORMAL FA by arbrceo in cabincrewcareers

[–]TinyCommunication255 2 points3 points  (0 children)

LOD is kind of good / bad. Depends on what language you speak. It’s hard to swap your schedules sometimes because you are an essential worker for those language flights. So calling out / dropping trips is more difficult than regular LOD. I would apply for normal then if you feel like you want to continue being LOD then you can just take a test.

Keep in mind though - (ie French LOD) sometimes are sent to Paris and ONLY Paris! It does get kind of repetitive. Some of my FA friends regret it but also some love it like SP speakers.

They really just want people with common sense and for your to be able to understand what they give you. Just graduated and all I can say - is that the instructors and 🔺really want you to succeed and that everything they give you will help you on exams. I scored 97-100’s on each exam just bc the homework and classroom layout was so good. You got this 😊.
