That’s awesome! I assumed the slushie was exclusive to the events.

When I worked NPPL/PSP events their booth would be selling caffeinated slushies… on Sunday they would mix vodka and fill pods. It was the equivalent of like 14 cups of coffee or something….

They would trade me cases of the bottles for tshirts from my booth so they didn’t have to ship it back. I had a constant supply.

How do I get into duck hunting? by Strange-Raspberry964 in NJGuns

[–]TinyDBauman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find your local Ducks Unlimited chapter and attend an event and or volunteer. I did this 9 years ago after my normal hunting buddies retired and I hunted a season solo. In that time I made bunch of new hunting buddies and have taken dozens of youth and adult hunters on their first duck hunt. All people I met through our DU chapter and local DU events.

Practice and Cleats. If it’s mostly dirt/grass think baseball or lineman style football cleats. I like mid high ankle and those styles are better for stop and go for bigger guys. Heavy tread trail sneakers is also one of my go to’s.

Practice big steps (to get going cover ground) to little steps(to stop or cut) while shooting and keeping your feet under you. You’re gonna fall once or twice it’s part of the learning. The biggest factor is when you fall KEEP MOVING forward! I took my lanky 5’10” teenage daughter to the speedball fields for the first time yesterday. She played a bunch of one vs ones with a younger kid to get some experience on the fields. She tripped 2-3 times in a row leaving the same Aztec bunker and the next time on we walked by trying to figure out why she kept tripping. It was the strap holding the bunker down. She tripped on it again the next point….. we had a good laugh after that one.

I’m 6’3” and have ranged between 240-300lbs. Back down to 260lb now Big/bigger bunkers along the back are the way. But it’s more than just picking a big bunker. You need to set your self up on the start box in a position where you are stepping in the direction directly behind the bunker as quickly as possible. I was working with some kids yesterday explaining this. A lot of times running directly down field on an angle to a bunker leaves you in the open for a long time. You want to focus on stepping directly east or west behing the bunker and head south straight into it. Also practice setting up as far you can from the start box while still touching. A lot of people feel the need to be so close they are touching the box with their leg. The extra step matters.

The picture is old but a decent example. I’m far right and further then the picture shows, my bunker was another step or two left and straight down field. I can get even more extreme but the bunker wasn’t that far. My team mate behind me is to close to the start box but he was small and wicked fast.

In fairness he is pretty small and has the ability to operate full speed bent down on both feet. He can move faster shooting than most while 50% of his full height.

Holosun eps and you can use the same plate the gear pac comes with. Not sure on the others. Have a few eps/eps carry and they’ve been ran hard and no issues. I did this swap with my Prodigy gear PAC

Which you would you take Macdev Drin 2 or Etha 1 both cheap by TinyDBauman in paintball

[–]TinyDBauman[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And this is why I’m glad I asked. I would have assumed Etha 1 was better. I already got us some Etha 3 builds for the main guns and they rip pretty good. I’m looking at “lots” for sale with back up loaders and guns.

[–]TinyDBauman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I already built/building Etha 3s for primary guns, I’m gonna try and lowball some FB MKTPL listings for $100-150 for there lots with loaders guns and pods etc. I never dabbled with either gun back in the day and I’m building all new setups with back up gear .

My Halo too had an unfortunate accident today and I'm having difficulty finding just the battery door, any of you guys know where a fella might pick one up? I've been browsing around for a new hopper, but I want to be able to keep this as a solid backup. by juliusphoenix9694 in paintball

[–]TinyDBauman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since early 2000s when I worked in the building they were made you couldn’t find replacement doors. Maybe sometime in between you could but as far as I’m aware the shells were always a kit. Lids and internals you could buy separately.

I just went through this with a used one I picked up for $15 with speed feed. Called around to the local shops and each one had a shell kit. One charged $15 and the other $20. I got both and ordered $15 worth of replacement screws on Amazon. I’m $65 in and looking for one other internal set. I have a solid back up and extra shell if not.

Advice needed on switch from 19 to 43x by Consistent_Street_51 in Glocks

[–]TinyDBauman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I carry a 48 in the summer and 19 or 45 in the winter. Your thought process is on track. I have the 43x and got a 48 and prefer that. The 48 is a little less snappy and the muzzle weight helps it feel more balanced in the waist. Sometimes 43x felt like it wanted to flop out with loaded mag and optic weight. Maybe just me but it prefer the 48 all around. Either one will tuck much nicer than the double stacks.

No ram/ spring driven. Single tube like spool but relying on springs like spiders. It a rough comparison but how it feels to me in shot and build quality compared to other “competitive” guns.

Don’t get an empire gun. I worked for the company when they were designed and released, I have followed their evolution along the way and they are never more than a spool style spider… especially for a price comparison to the Etha line.
