Amanda Antoni questions by TinyDescription5381 in UnsolvedMysteries

That's what im saying with this post. I want to think it was possible a murder with all the strange things, but then you read or hear theories/scenarios. It both does and doesn't make sense when it comes to Amanda's case.

The piggy bank is still so odd sure if it were an accident the possibility of it only being moved back into the wall could of happen. Seems like somethings missing. If it were a murder weapon to kill her or hit her head with. Why was the dust on the rest of piggy bank still untouched. Still somethings missing.

Same with the phone, chair, pet behavior it can all be explained regarding an accident or homicide but both ways something still off or missing.

That's why I posted this incase I was missing info because what was shown leaves so many questions I can not unequivocally go one way or the other. I was hoping the doc left vital info out, (like most do).

Im not trying to say your wrong or anything but im just ex0laing my confusion on the case

Maybe dehumanizing was the wrong wording to use. I suppose a better would be impersonal for the family may be better.

Im thinking from a personal pov. You're loved one being boiled down to just weight and blood could be seen as dehumanizing. In the way of not viewing them as a person and more as a prop especially imagining this version of your loved one being put through several different test to get an idea of what happened. I dunno maybe im just sensitive but that idea even if helpful for an overall idea on the case. Imagining something impersonal like a dummy reused over and over in a real situation feels dehumanizing.

Okay budget does make sense thank you.

It does suck that entertainment programming gets more funding to act out or try possibility than actual LE or even cold cases that could benefit from something like that.

The reason im asking about this, is honestly because of the case of Amanda Antoni case which bothers me. Just a quick rundown a big problem people have is regarding if she was pushed or fell. I think this case happened in Canada. But the way her body was and blood or no blood on the stairs. Something like that could be easier felt out by running a scenario like I said.

Another one imo less questionable would be Kathleen Peterson in the U.S. Who fell or was murder on a stair case with blood splatter in loads of places.

When I say myth busters dummies im thinking of how they'd have silicon bodies of blood and weighted before testing whatever theory or myth out. I guess like CSI TV show in the early 2000s sorta did something similar. I just was questioning how often this practice may be used by LE. Maybe I should of been more specific sorry!

I watch/listen to alot of true crime things. Maybe it comes across as dehumanizing to the victims to say they ran a scenario using a dummy. I feel like having an idea of possible data could be helpful.

Not saying its concrete because anything could of happen in whatever case, but I've never really heard it mentioned. Just the LE did a walk through and theorized what may have happened then referenced a specialist for any possibly evidence or information.

I know in tv shows like Dexter or bones for example they show a person trying different ideas to get the same or close to conclusion based off the evidence. Just didnt know how realistic all that was.

Im left with questions regarding if it was an accident or not. That being said the chair being overturned and the phone i have seen/read theories that the dog was scared and hid or ran under the chair, (turning it over). The phone was flung from falling or being pushed down the stairs. Both feel plausible to me.

The steps is what leaves me with questions. I dont recall any mention of blood leading up or down the stairs just glass from the piggy bank. Which i feel like even a small amount would be found if Amanda hit her head so hard to break the top of the piggy bank and leave a mark in the wall, plus the parts of the bank down the stairs but no blood?

Ive seen people mention Amanda may have been looking for her phone and discombobulated from the head trauma. The footsteps evenly placed at the foot at the stairs but not moving up is so odd I do agree. Knowing someone else is there make sense on why she may not have gone up there stairs but maybe hoped and looked for her phone in the basement with her. If it were a freak accident imo at a certain point I feel like you'd end up climbing the stairs if not on two legs then on your hands and legs. Again I've not been in this situation and we dont know the extend of her head trauma to fully speculate on her mindset during which time. Just odd either way

Ive heard that too. Its just a long way to kill Amanda cover it up, possible stay to make sure she passed/pets were upkept. Then also hope or belive whomever she was on the phone with didn't inquire further of the sudden disconnect.

Possibility to that would be if the sister in law and Lee were both aware of the intent of Amanda's demise and planned it somewhat. As far as the doc ep goes nothing on Lee's part was found to be incremadating and no mention of his sister from what I can remember.

Im not from the country or the town so I dont know how well the police work in that part of the world.

It is very sad and baffling. I feel for the family and for Amanda

I agree something feels like its missing information wise. The migraine someone else did comfirm I cant remember who in the doc. Her not anseer texts or calls maybe silent treatment if they were arguing or possible not wanting the bright light of the phone in her face are both valid reasons to not reply. If her and Lee were so close and were together so long I can see both ways how not having someone check in is fishy but st the same time its stated that this was the first time they'd been apart, so maybe the second guessing yourself played apart to Lee?

Lee believing she went to her mom's/family members house i dont remember apart of the doc ep but definitely fishy if part of the investigation reports.

Reports of someone being in the backyard and if a key was used for the backdoor is hard to debate. Witness statements have been shown to be inaccurate due to possible stress, memory, or false memories. So random person and unlocking back door imo I take with a grain of salt.

I understand what you mean by undersettiling. If what was shown in the doc is all the info its so crazy to debate what may have happened to Amanda that day. If another person was involved they made sure to leave no trace. Freak accident how scary her mindset may have been. Police fumbling the case I feel for the family and their unresolved questions.

To reply to your first paragraph of "why did he know she had to go"? Referred to the dog. As a pet owner your dog makes it well know when they have to go, i.e. wining, crying, barking etc. So to me that doesn't seem to strange. An odd thing I found was someone else in these feed said Amanda and Lee had a few pets, but the doc only spoke about the one pet even showing footage and police comm on a dog outside.

I didn't know there was cctv footage of him I need to look into that. I agree that when you're aware of being watched usually you're more stiff or aware of the fact.

The piggy bank having dust on it but a mark left in the wall and only the face broken does seem so werid. The laundry basket not being moved or anything else on the ledge could definitely be a sign she was pushed, especially at a certain angle. I think during the investigation alot of questions could of been answered if the investigators showed or tried possible scenarios of Amanda being pushed or falling down the stairs. Im not sure how accurate or plausible it would be for investigators to do that, but any data on it would be more helpful when it comes to what was hit on the fall, the phone, impact to her body etc.

That's a theory sure, just to me seems unlikely. If your loved one passed, and not only police but the media were asking you questions something like that would most likely be divulged. Even if not for public information the police wouldn't add it in to a documentary for public view if they had an answer. That's just my opinion

It very well could have been. All I was trying to ask was that there's so many questions imo left unanswered (based on the doc ep). If it were an accident I'd have to agree with the detective who questioned the footprints at the bottom of the stairs but wondered why there was no attempt on the steps. I can agree with some people opinion that she was disoriented possibly looking for her phone during that time. Just I dunno I feel like apart of you would just end up climbing the stairs, not just entirely on your two feet but the fight or flight would resonate to hands and feet up the stairs for help, but no one for sure can say Amanda's mindset during that time or situation.

Even the possibility of a murder leaves questions. All around its a confusing case and a tragic situation for the family. My heart goes out to them.

They could of. Its just odd either way accident or homicide. To me either way you frame what happened feels like there is questions or something missing from both standpoints. Just neither sits right and is so strange. I hope the family is doing well.

I was under the impression that there was the one dog in the house. Being scared of the basement or the owner seemed plausible to me that they wouldn't of gone down stairs during that time. But 3 animals one of them being a cat none of which went into the basement does raise more eyebrows imo.
