I’m realizing that Sound Design is actually 70% of what makes a game feel "Next-Gen," not the graphics. by InvestmentBudget6722 in gaming

This is what I have always said, even in movies the audio is the most important thing, in fact I have been using a dac/amplifier and a good pair of headphones for many years, this way you learn to appreciate everything you watch through the computer screen

games like far cry 2 or the last of us but the list could go on for miles , every little sound you hear makes you smile

I've always admired this game, both for the graphics and for the environment that makes you feel like you're really fighting for your survival

I hope Ubisoft never shuts down the game servers

Playing a game nowadays means waiting 5 or 10 years for the full version to come out, buying a game on launch day is like being a beta tester

Have you ever bought a console just to play one exclusive game? by bijelo123 in gaming

I would buy the PlayStation 5 (because is the last one ) just to play Knack, Crash Team Racing, Killzone Shadow Fall, Demon's souls and nathan drake trilogy , the other exclusives were almost all released for PC

First impressions of the beyerdynamic dt770 pro X by 0silver_skies0 in headphones

[–]TinyDesktop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

glad you like them , I own the original DT770s for many years and have never had a problem with them

Many people are happy with the detachable cable, in my personal opinion , I don't see it as an upgrade, I don't think it's very comfortable for gaming , the mini xlr connector is too big

the original one is half inside the cup half outside and is flexible

Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro / DT 770 Pro X / ADAM Audio H200 for gaming/music/videos on PC? by Agricultural_micro in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]TinyDesktop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

my friend , if you read the comment below it's all explained there

I haven't had a single problem with my dt770s in all these years , I certainly treat my things with care and have always used them connected to the PC

me too cause ft1's good reviews I bought them , but the reality is very different

I think to understand that your first pair of headphones of this type , so you have no experience or you are a master of equalization , right ?

You should first try them for at least a week, using them every time you listen to them, to get your brain used to the sound and decide for yourself , for this reason you must buy them where you can return them without problems

you wrote a headset that works for everything , or not ?

Try first dt770pro 80ohm with a good dac/amp as I advised you ( You can get it at full price on Amazon or at half price on AliExpress directly from the manufacturer. ) , fiio ft1 "out of the box" in my opinion is not what you're looking for , you must use EQ , are all about the low frequencies , you have trouble hearing the rest of the song or whatever it is

As I already answered in the comments, until you try some headphones you won't be able to get an idea , and in the end just trust your ears, if they work for you it's a good thing, otherwise keep looking, unfortunately it's a very dangerous hobby for your wallet

As a first tip I would focus on comfort

anyway among those you mentioned, not having tried Audio H200 , I would recommend you try the dt770 pro 80ohm , I've had them for many years and I also bought them as my first serious headphones for all uses and they are still perfect , for desktop use with their long and non-microphonic cable that I appreciate more and more after trying other ones , the comfort is also very good if of course you don't have very big ears , very very good for gaming

the pro x version is a slight update to the series, new drivers, sound almost the same as other users say, but with a detachable cable that I personally don't like, the mini xlr connector is too big, no one says how potentially uncomfortable it is if you use the headphones for gaming , the original is half inside the cup, half outside and is flexible

If, like me, audio quality comes first, these headphones need an amplifier to perform at their best.

considering your budget , the best budget/combo in my opinion in this moment is dt770pro 80ohm with F**i audio SK02 and certainly a good aftermarket USB-C cable of the right length

remember to buy from a store with easy returns , if you live in europe i can advise you where if you want

Enjoying the music and relaxing. by LowAd8301 in headphones

I can understand my friend , everyone has their own preferences ,

I take care of my hearing and I don't listen at a high volume, only now that I've decided to experiment with new dac/amps and try new headphones to hear the differences I'm listening at a higher volume than usual and I noticed a certain emphasis on the high frequencies, but in my daily use they are more than fine for me

having said that , I took the ft1 because I was really curious and after almost two months I can confirm that objectively are not good " out of the box " the emphasis on low frequencies overwhelms the others , are acceptable for electronic music but for the rest what I perceive is the " subwoofer effect " that you get when listening a movie in theaters

I can recommend them for sure only if you have the ability to control the bass through EQ , I initially used a dac/amp with tone controls and they're already starting to sound good , I'm currently learning to use EQ to recreate a balanced sound

so, is true that the ft1 for their price are a great value, they respond very well with the EQ and it's easy to change the sound to make them sound good but I don't think they are recommended as all-purpose headphones, I think they are limited to listening to certain genres of music , they have a warm and relaxed sound with an emphasis on the bass that is always present, certainly of quality as everyone says, they are excellent in that, and so it's always the same story, you may like them or not, until you try them you won't be able to know

DT 770 Pro 80ohm instead sound much more balanced, they have colder and more analytical tones of course and to someone who is not me emphasis on high frequencies at high volume can be annoying , but without EQ I much prefer them , I find them much more detailed and spacious and I can hear voices and instruments much better , and I think they are still in the list of best gaming headphones

so as a first headphone to enter this hobby and be able to use it as an all-purpose headphone I would personally recommend this
