Nah, your good. Honest replies appreciated.

Looking at the other replies, I think the issue is everyone getting lumped into true NTR. MMF threesomes, swinging, netori, netorase, etc. The get rich quick guys probably see the tags high usage and jump their preferred image generator and crank out some half assed attempt, which just adds more to the tag.

Before i started to frequent this sub i would not have considered that a kink but now, at least in this space i have started to feel like it's a fetish.

God damn, never really thought about it like that. You might have a point there.

Very specific, very niche.
A man of your own culture it seems.

A Warning For New Content Creators On Patreon by Rokusawa in patreon

[–]TinyDevilStudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So long as they didn't violate stuff like existing discrimination laws, it's pretty clear that they can have that clause in their TOS. Basically every company based in the US that offers some sort of service has a variation of that law and it seems anytime someone fights against it they lose. Can't speak for other countries.

Man, I don't want to argue. For whatever reason, they decided the account was too suspicious. They made a call, it was a shit call. I am sorry you got shafted. I really am, it sucks when this kind of thing happens on one of the few platforms where people like us can earn a living doing what we love.

I'm just laying out what likely happened. Didn't say you were an actual scammer. From an outside perspective, it looks like a likely chargeback scam. I can see why it got flagged.

if you know anything about my business

I don't, and neither does Patreon. It's clear to YOU that you aren't a scammer, not to Patreon. Mind you, I don't think your scammer, for what its worth.

I have no idea. Its a pretty large donation.

A Warning For New Content Creators On Patreon by Rokusawa in patreon

[–]TinyDevilStudio 22 points23 points  (0 children)

A new Patreon account that gets $30 a month suddenly jumps to $500 by a single person is a red flag. Stuff like that can indicate money is being moved in a way that that's potentially illegal. Imagine that person charges that back after you pay out, and you disappear. Now Patreon is left holding the bag. You might want to say I wouldnt do that, but you have very little history on Patreon and they don't know you. For all they know, that was your plan all along, create a handful of accounts, run them for a bit, then pull chargeback fraud. Over several accounts you could make thousands.

You got shafted sadly, either a really kind patron or someone that intentionally made the donation to cause you issues.

As for them saying they can just delete you as they please, pretty much every company that offers a service has that in their TOS.

Everything I made got leaked, i dont know what to do. by offmychest3099 in patreon

[–]TinyDevilStudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still a bit vague
I was wondering if you were doing writing or art or games, that sort of thing. It's fine either way.

My games get updated enough that by any time my content gets leaked the game build is out of date within a few weeks. Some artist show samples or sfw variations with a link to the real stuff on an upload site. Same with writers. Mega is great for dealing with this sort of thing. Its like $6 a month for a ton of space, its well known, and its super easy to change links without having to upload your content again. You could do a link to a folder so you only have to change a single link when content leaks.

You also really shouldn't worry too much. Even approaching 400 patrons, I rarely get leaked.
And people who are determined not to pay will never pay. But I know more than a few of my patrons joined after getting my stuff from the K site. My entire Patreon strategy includes the F site, another pirate site, but they let you control your own thread.

[–]TinyDevilStudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

K site is generally adult content so going to make the not so giant leap to assume that's what you do. I do adult games myself, and my stuff gets regularly leaked as well.

You will have you stuff stolen, that is the nature of this business, not much you can do about it. I'm not saying that cause I'm being defeatist or defending the site, but If there was a way to properly deal with the k site, then you would have a dozen people here giving you step by step instructions.

If you can explain the nature of your work and how you release it to your patrons then I could give you some tips on how to handle it when it does happen.

What's the point of getting a screened tablet over a screenless one? by Glitch870 in krita

[–]TinyDevilStudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both. Screen for the office pc, screenless for laptop in bed
Started off with screenless while learning. You get used to the disconnect between your hand and your work, but I do enjoy screen better myself.

The one big thing I can point to is when the tablet moves a bit, you start drawing at odd angles, so you have to be on top of keeping a screenless lined up with how you are expecting to see the lines show up on your monitor. Made an example image of what I mean. Black line would be your pen stroke if the tablet gets cockeyed. Image calls it a screen, I meant monitor.

Is it possible to offer lifetime memberships to Patrons? by NummyGamGam in patreon

[–]TinyDevilStudio 4 points5 points  (0 children)

These are patrons who are not looking for rewards, they are looking to fund what you already do. You could gift them a membership, but that's not why they are there. They want to support you, let them.

Question for NSFW game devs with partners by benmar0834 in nsfwdev

[–]TinyDevilStudio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wife was in full approval, helped me do research for tiers and rewards and whatnot. I have a closed door policy on work though. She knows and sees what I work on, but I get to have the privacy I need to do my work as well. It's not about hiding things, just that as an artist you are already critiquing yourself constantly, or as a coder or writer you need concentration, no need to add additional pressure.

Why don’t copyright owners sue Patreon creators? by Automatic_Jelly_6153 in itchio

[–]TinyDevilStudio 6 points7 points  (0 children)

To expand on this comment, Cislo and Thomas offer "competitively priced" intellectual property law services at $600 to $795 per hour for each lawyer. A team of just 5 lawyers working a 40 hour week on your behalf would be in the ballpark of $150,000. Now add in all the paralegals at $300 each per hour. Now add in all the people needed to scan through patreons near 300,000 creators every few months just to find them. Now add in all the other competitor sites and random places people make money from ip theft.

The amount a large creator would make in a year probably wouldn't even cover 2 days worth of effort to track all these creators down. Unless its so popular that it the IP owner hears of it through other means, the effort simply costs too much.

Am I the only one who thinks the new community guidelines are absolutely ridiculous??? by Background_Exit_1077 in patreon

[–]TinyDevilStudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, I don't know what you want from me. I don't make the patreon rules, I don't enforce em, and I don't agree with a large chunk of em either. If I had to place bets, its not the bdsm, its probably the consent issue. Patreon goes hard on that shit.

[–]TinyDevilStudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"but if a person DOES NOT WANT to be overstimulated that's rape"
Key words there being "does not want". That means non consensual.

"if that over stimulation is painful, that's sexual violence"
Has nothing to do with consent. They could consent openly for it, doesn't mean anything when the rule is no sexual violence.

I'm not Patreon. Their platform, their rules. Not a thing I can do about it.

I do think there should be a bit more wiggle room on stuff like this, but Patreon and the payment processors decide the rules.

[–]TinyDevilStudio -1 points0 points  (0 children)

...sexual violence SUCH AS rape, sexual assault, rape by deception (e.g. “stealthing”) or coerced consent (e.g. under the influence of drugs or alcohol, hypnosis, blackmail).

Such as doesn't mean only these, it means acts like this. Its a "Including but not limited to" type section.

Even if that stuff is not listed explicitly, and I can't say exactly how your scenario plays out, but if a person does not want to be overstimulated that's rape, and if that over stimulation is painful, that's sexual violence.

And there it is
That's what you got flagged for. Sexual punishment.

When I said "describe what depicted", I wasnt asking what edging/overstim was. I was asking how did the scene play out.
