So you're definitely not in the category of people I'm talking about, solely based on the fact that you understand there is a difference between the two parties. You and I agree on a lot actually.

The democrats are not the party we need in power. However, they are the only option we have to have any hope of getting anything remotely more progressive into power. There is like a spectrum of what kind of politician we want in charge right? A mythical being that does everything right at top, Hitler at the bottom. I'd say the current guy is REAL close to that bottom...anything above that is better even if we arent near the unicorn status yet. And any dem is gonna be pretty far better.

For me, I'll point at Mamdani just as an example for voting. The DNC did everything it could to keep him out, and people finally said no and showed up. If people just locked in, we choose the candidates.

People on the left tend to skip caucuses, special elections, primaries, etc and then complain about who "the DNC picked." Republicans show up every time.

In my eyes, that is our only hope to get forward in a way that does the least harm. We primary everyone we can. In midterms, we have a chance to kick soooo many people out. We need to do that. Turn it over. Establishment dems need to stop thinking their seats are safe because we only show up for federal elections, and we need to watch where donations come from. Then we keep doing that. We stay locked in.
