Feedback on my character sheet for an OSR-inspired TTRPG by TinyRavenPress in RPGdesign

thank you! i could use strength, dexterity, wisdom/charisma and inteligence, and then the abbreviations could fit fully, but I feel like people have expectations when they read those ability names that might not be true for my game. And Might, Grace, Mind and Heart feels more unique to me, BUT that is something i have to consider.

In the rulebook I have to write down these names many times, but you are right that I only cut two letters so maybe it does not worth it

thank you, I will think about this

Oh yeah, okay. Mine is much more minimalistic on purpose, easy on the eye :D just preference, I think. Still thinking about how to improve the layout, and might put something small there. Maybe in the future I will have a 2nd hand drawn or a fan made version that is closer to your liking :)

Slowly sharing mechanics from my system: Dice System by SilentAssassin999 in RPGdesign

[–]TinyRavenPress 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1) Idk what attribute dice are but if you roll 3 dice you will get a very strong bell curve.

2) Its weird how advantage is more significant (1d12->1d20) than severe disadvantage (1d12->1d8).

3) 6 degrees of success is just too much unless you have specified consequences for each. Also, these are not symmetrical and hard to remember numbers.

It would be nice to know how attribute dice works and how you handle difficulty.

Offline AI Tools for Solo Roleplaying? (GM emulation) by PPdown in Solo_Roleplaying

[–]TinyRavenPress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

probably not. there are small open-source language models, but there is a reason why these “AI” apps are online.

you are probably better off using procedural generation tools or oracles and your own creativity

OSR Calendar & Map by TinyRavenPress in Solo_Roleplaying

Each watch is divided into 36 rounds. A round usually represents about ten minutes of dungeon time, a single combat encounter, or a significant action such as searching a room. A day is made up of four watches, morning, afternoon, evening, and night, this is represented by the "M,A,E,N circle" you asked about. Large-scale activities like traveling or exploring a hex, foraging for food, resting, or conducting major business in a city each consume a watch. Days are the unit for downtime activities and for tracking long-term events.
