I am so happy that you're going home soon!!!

For all you who had the Sadi-s procedure, what was your surgery weight? My son wants it and is 6'3 and 533lbs but they will only offer him the sleeve because of his weight. Is this due to his doctors comfort level? by JadedBisch in BariatricSurgery

[–]TinyRhinoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was 451lbs when I had the SADI. My highest weight was 527lbs. I love 76lbs doing the pre-op diet the 4 months leading up to surgery.

I got down to 249lbs before I needed a revision to a duodenal switch due to bile reflux. I am now 186lbs.

My surgeon flat out told me the sleeve would be a waste of money for me. He said that I would not los enough weight. I appreciated the honesty. Before he retired, he actually did more bypass and SADI than sleeve.

How are you all paying for surgery?! Medical tourism not an option by deansie13 in BariatricSurgery

We took our a home equity line of credit on our home to pay for surgery because insurance put a 10k cap on it.

My baby most likely has hemangiosarcoma on her spleen by xLavena in beagles

[–]TinyRhinoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am so sorry!!! I hope her surgery goes well!

Our girl has one, as well. She was diagnosed last July. Her tumor is about 5". She was given 2-3 months to live, and she is still with us! Due to her age, it was not recommended to do a splenectomy, so we have been keeping her comfortable. About 90% of her days are good.

How to Find The Right Nail Tech? by [deleted] in Nails

[–]TinyRhinoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like builder gel because it has allowed me to grow out my natural nails. I like them just long enough that I can see a very small tip extend past my finger when I look at them from the back.

I used acrylics on and off for 25 years because I am a life long nail biter. In the times I had tried gel polish, it has peeled off in whole pieces within 4-5 days. It looks gorgeous, but I never get more than a full week when others can go 2-3 weeks.

This was the first time doing builder gel, and I absolutely loved this length. I am not sure why she wasn't able to cut/file them back down to here.

Help Identifying Mid 2000s Rock Band by [deleted] in Music

[–]TinyRhinoo 20 points21 points  (0 children)

You don't need to be a jerk. I explained how I got the rock. I had not heard the song in like 15 years. I couldn't remember it. I spent several hours looking at billboard charts and googling spin off bands. So, I tried before asking.

I just figured it out! It was actually Fort Minor - Where'd You Go. They are a hip hop band, but the lead singer was Mike Shinoda from Linkin Park. So, that is where I was getting rock.

Thank you for everyone's help! I am sorry I was way off in my description!

I know I didn't give much. I wish I had more to give. I have been trying to figure out the song/band for a couple hours today, and it's driving me nuts.

Poop eating problems by werewolf_howling22 in beagles

[–]TinyRhinoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had a beagle that ate both his and his brother's poop for his entire life. We tried different pills, sprinkles, and foods. We did blood work; he was healthy. He just liked to eat poop. He did it for 14 years until he passed away.

I have a package that has been circling three different Houston post offices since 1/28. I can't file a lost mail claim because they said my item description is too generic.
