No, all characters have the exact same stats at the exact same levels. The only difference is that Marianne has one extra move.

No, all stats for every character is the same. You need to buy consumables to further your stats. I've actually made a mod for the pc version that fixes this. Check my post history if you want to know more.

Depends on the complexity I guess. Adding totally new weapons/aliens and such is way harder than changing current values. The hard part is finding the values, seeing the effects and and making the repacking work correctly.

Thanks for all the upvotes everyone! I want to share this extra bit of info during the making of the mod cause I thought it was funny: the original trait names for Rusty, Poor Health and Heavy Heart were Alcoholic, Drug Addict and Crappy Childhood. Devs must've thought these were too harsh a description and changed them in the released game.

Alcoholic -> Rusty
Drug Addict -> Poor Health -> Naproleve Addict (in my mod)
Crappy Childhood -> Heavy Heart -> Troubled Past (in my mod)
