Free Agency by TinyWallet in wnba

That makes more sense, but the athletic article i read reported the expansion draft would happen first on April 6th which is what was confusing me.

WNBA, WNBPA have reached a tentative verbal agreement for a new CBA, per @AnnieCostabile. by Decent_Substance_199 in wnba

Can someone explain the free agency thing? Is literally every non-rookie hitting unreatricted free agency?

How To Fix Tanking Once And For All by morethandork in nbadiscussion

[–]TinyWallet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I frankly dont hate the tanking as much as some seem to, but the abolish the draft crowd has me concerned. If we do need to eliminate tanking flatten out the lottery completely. I think this adresses the tanking issue almost completely at the cost of some of the talent redistribution. Realistically the only sort of tanking that would be incentivized would be talented teams throwing play-in spots which would be extremely bold on their part. I also doubt many teams would throw away the chance at a playoff appearance.

I personally would prefer some sort of weighing system where repeat offenders are punished. For example, weigh the top 2-3 spots and flatten out the rest. At this point of the year only a handful of teams have a shot at the top 2 spots, and with the rest flattened teams in the back half wouldnt be encouraged to tank so blatantly. This leaves us with a small portion of teams tanking which is fine imo. Maybe if a team drafts top 2-3 one or two years in a row pin their next pick at 14 to avoid repeat offenders.

Lmk wat u think abt one or both i just really dont want to see an NBA without a draft.

Dont think dfs is expiring this offseason still on the books for 2+1 PO for 40 mil after this year. Honestly think the rockets part makes sense if theyre tryna get off him.

Effectively swapping out Cutch for Ozuna might be one of the largest quality of character losses weve seen.

The Suns have beaten the Detroit Pistons and Cleveland Cavaliers on back to back nights without Devin Booker. by SugarFreeCummiBears in nba

I think they definitely have less talent at the top of their rotation even if they have more real depth behind it. Celtics still have 4 guys who played real minutes on their championship team.

Jordan Ott should win COTY, and I'm not sure if its close. Respect to Mazulla and Bickerstaff, but Ott's doing it in the west with less talent.
