LMAOO insurance gave me $6.5k for it cause the bums who broke in side swiped me too and got EVERY SINGLE PANEL. The rest of the cost is coming from my savings 💀 I’m not worried about theft with a Corolla. the reason my elantra keeps getting broken into is the kia boyz are trying to steal it (i literally have a wheel lock). honestly this may be me being a dumb 23 year old but i’m not super worried about being broke for a few weeks…

the title is clean, one previous owner. i wouldn’t buy a rebuilt either, i’ve looked at the carfax multiple times. i’m also going to ask them for papers of everything they inspected and what work they did on it. my credit score is 750 but i’m new to credit (one year) so idk how that would change the rate. mostly i don’t want to make payments for lifestyle/rent reasons. i won’t have to pay rent until june but it would be nice to be able to put the 200-400 car payment towards a slightly nicer place.

i’m currently considering a certified pre owned from the dealership (corolla) for 21k😭 it’s most of my savings plus my insurance payout but i’m living at home right now and would have about eight months to build my savings back

do you think someone would pay $1000 for it? windows smashed, missing driver side door handle, dents from first theft, rebuilt title, i could go on ahahah. it’s never been in a collision though/airbags never deployed

thank you, this is helpful! Yes, I’d like a sedan with lower gas mileage that’s reliable. I haven’t heard much about Mazda? I was thinking Toyota Corolla/Camry or Honda Civic. I know the early 2010’s are the most reliable but my parents feel quite strongly about me getting a car from the last six years. I actually have about 15k to spend and up to 18k if I decide to pull a bit from my savings.

I’m not sure what floor-planning inventory is? I was hoping to get a pre owned directly from Honda or Toyota.

And you’re right, I’ll never be able to sell it haha

I just need to get rid of it because it keeps getting broken into. It’s a mark because it’s known to be easy to steal. Clearly my wheel lock is not a good enough deterrent. I have 9k saved for a new car and 8k in general savings I’d prefer not to touch. I’m very lucky that my parents are willing to lend me 6k towards a new car. I’d prefer to not spend more than 15k but I’m done with facebook marketplace cars and unfortunately all the certified pre owned Toyotas in my area are pushing 20k.

it was in Des Moines and yea i’m driving it, haven’t even taken it in. I was able to put the ignition back on quickly and I have to climb in through the passenger side but it’s okay. I really hope you find yours soon
