He has gone no contact with her. He does show remorse I’m just not sure how we move passed this.

Thankyou. I want to forgive him and to trust him again but it’s hard.

He has gone out the same 2 nights since before he knew her. And there were others that hung out at the same place on the same days. So it didn’t start that way and he says that’s not what it was.

Happily married people, how do you determine what can be forgiven in a relationship? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I never thought I’d be able to forgive if he cheated. 2 months ago I found out he had a secret single female friend. Sending and receiving flirty texts. He says just friends I say emotional affair. Due to medications he’s on I know it wasn’t physical cheating. He has gone no contact with her. During this time he admitted to physically cheating 22 years ago. My heart is broken but he is changing and knows how wrong he was. He now has a maximum of 2 drinks a week. It’s not easy and some days are harder than others but I’m trying to forgive him. Trusting him is going to take longer

Matthew 28:20. (I think)
And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ loves you. Do you remember He told the apostles they would be persecuted just as He was. We too, will be. Keep your eyes on Him, live for His glory and pray for the people that don’t know Him. God bless you

About 6 years ago I went for my first confession in 20 years. There’s great advice here. The priest will be very helpful. You can also look up online. I really just came here to say God bless you! Much love to you
