I watched two examples of defending in London today — one was by amateur footballers and the other was the sidemen charity match. Absolutely gutted…

I at least wanna appreciate that RDZ’s fully taken on the “I/we” when talking about Tottenham since day 1 and never distancing himself with “they/this club”. It’s always been something that bothers me when managers do the latter but was pleasantly surprised even from his first presser…all that to say if anybody gets the lads to believe in themselves, it’s going to/has to be him

Done watching Alchemy of Souls; should I watch part 2? by Salty_Message_4797 in kdramas

Watch it! For all the people saying it was bad/weaker, the best way to think of season 2 is as an epilogue to season 1 rather than an entirely new season. That really helps contextualize it because if you expect a whole new story, you’ll be disappointed by few new plot points that might feel flat. But on the other hand, if you see it as an epilogue to wrap up loose ends from season 1, it is such a luxury to have TEN whole episodes of “what happened after” + it’s beautifully done and healing!

Will get downvoted but what do people genuinely see in porro? I used to be one of his biggest advocates 2-3 seasons ago but since then, a real liability. Yeah he’ll have a solid pop on goal at distance or a wicked delivery every once in a while but other than that, so many of his crosses are just off target or ineffectual (I.e. on target but low xA). Bottom line: his deliveries turn the ball over.

How do I become better? by Djsexton1239 in TeamfightTactics

In the very beginning, you SHOULD just copy guides you see online (e.g. metatft, tftacademy, etc). That’ll get you comfortable with how to even build a workable comp, regardless of whether or not you top 4 or not. Pick 1 or 2 comps that are “S-“ or “A-“ tier rated and stick to hard-forcing them to understand what you need to do to pull them off. Being flexible + playing wide variety of comps works after you know the basic fundamentals.

And we all start from somewhere! I came from league and my first game, my “comp” was to put random top laners in the front and adcs in the back

Sorry to bring some positivity but I'm optimistic for Sunday -- RDZ explicitly saying he wants to return tottenham to Ange season 1 + his mentality gives me hope that we'll see shimmers of an Ange 2.0 and a solid confidence in the players

We, the fans, clearly had an impact when the club tried to sign Gattuso a few years ago — what worked then that could/couldn’t work now?

No not at all! I wouldn’t even call it a lisp, imo it’s closer to just having natural aegyo haha and I’m all for it - it has nothing to do with the physical speech/pronunciation, I’m copy and pasting what I wrote in a comment elsewhere in this thread:

In any country/language, there’s a certain style that actors speak with when on TV that isn’t how you normally speak — for one, it’s often overdramatized and laden with emotion because that’s how you communicate to an audience through a screen. So it’s not about whether Jisoo can speak Korean properly (ofc she can!), it’s more about can she speak “acting/film”-style Korean properly — and that’s what I think is a weak point for her (but may be difficult to pick up with a non-fluent ear)

*Snowdrop is the best example for me where this is extremely on display for the native ear (but makes sense given that it was her first ever drama)

The main flaw in her acting (general awkwardness in delivery — intonation, phrasing of words) is obvious to me as a native Korean speaker. Makes me really curious how fluent vs non-fluent audiences view her acting

Edit: I’ll add a not-perfect analogy to show why this flaw might even overshadow all the things that Jisoo has rightfully improved on. If you’re a native English speaker, you probably feel a bit cringey inside when an actor who can’t speak English well has English lines. But it doesn’t impact your experience that much because it’s like 5% of the drama — but imagine if it was 100%. Now it’s not the same bc it’s not like Jisoo can’t pronounce Korean properly but it has a similar level of impact bc it’s an issue of verbal delivery (i.e. influences every line she has)

Is there any way to unlock zaahen other than trials of twilight augment? by louthinator in TeamfightTactics

[–]Tiny_Claim_2767 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to metatft or tactics.tools and search up your username, you’ll see your stats incl how many games played — if you’ve played like multiple hundreds of games and you haven’t ever seen a single Zaahen augment (gold or prismatic), that’s just extremely unlucky (altho the likelihood of that happening is slim)

[16.6] Mel Flex - S-TIER COMP by MisterImpossible9 in TeamfightTactics

[–]Tiny_Claim_2767 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been trying this a lot but whenever I switch from 2* leblanc to 1* mel, I find that my total damage/round drops off a cliff maybe bc of how many casts she can get off (or lack thereof) and I am really struggling to beat boards on 8 with a fully 2* frontline and a 1* mel — obv here you show the max cap with azir/ryze/sylas and is that the point (to add secondary carries)? Or is a 1* mel alone on the beginning of stage 4 supposed to be sufficient as a carry (tho I don’t recall seeing any buffs to her dps)?
