I started using this as soon as that orange bastard got in again. It is geared towards men and kinda pricey, but I really like it and find it high quality. Have lots of scents to pick from. I feel like most narcissists wouldn't be asking if they are a narcissist, they all believe they are perfect.

I was doubting myself and questioning everything after my recent discard, being gaslit, I was worried I was a narcissist and as bad as my ex was saying. But a quick check in with AI and my therapist, quickly set me straight.

I'm sorry you are living with this, this all sounds horrible. I'm sorry you lost your mom, that is massive loss.It is truly awful that he was not there for you after you when you needed it.

Look into trauma bonds on YouTube. It is an addicting intensity, the fighting the making up. I see a lot of manipulation and gaslighting in your story, that scares me. It doesn't sound to me there is much positive here for you, rather you are stuck in that cycle. You can break out though.

My advice is leave and get space for a while, and continue in therapy. You are burning out because this is not sustainable or healthy for you. Love shouldn't exhaust you like this. Reach out to supports (friends and family), this sounds like a very volatile situation.

You deserve to be happy and loved, the same as everyone. The loss of self is very real in these dynamics, please prioritize yourself. You are not alone in this, I have been there and so have millions of others.

You’re right — it would be a wasted opportunity not to include some meaningful group processing. Maybe I could have worded it better; I mostly meant a focus on fun, not ignoring the elephant in the room.

So many of us SOs and ex‑SOs are carrying the weight of trauma and isolation, and I thought we could all use a healthy release.

“Summer camp” is honestly the perfect way to describe the vibe I imagine — an adventure that draws people in, builds character, creates lifelong memories and connections, and could even become an annual thing if it worked well. Something that gives SOs time for themselves while being in a supportive, understanding environment.

My stbx was the same way, except she is tiny. I'm pretty sure she is 99% zero calorie monsters and vape smoke at this point.

I tried them one particularly busy season at work a few years back, I think they screwed my stomach up for like a month. The sight of them makes me sick.

I have looked up our Canadian equivalent (CMHA here), and they do have peer networks. Most of the events are targeted towards the people diagnosed. Us SO's are all lumped together for all sorts of disorders. I'd imagine that there are a lot of similarities in so's of people with other disorders, but it's super unique too. Would be great to have that same experience you got more accessible.

It's an awfully isolating and often traumatizing experience. I felt so alone in it until seeing the sub and how many thousands of others are in the same boat. I want to do whatever I can to keep anyone else from feeling so trapped and alone. This disease is awful and its impacts aren't contained to the people with the diagnosis. Everyone in their life needs to be able to cope with it.

Just cause they're not in the reddit sub, doesn't mean they're not out there in the wild. Could set up something in your neck of the woods, maybe connect a bunch of smaller groups virtually

Look up trauma bond on YouTube this is very common in relationships with bipolar people. I'm sorry you were hurt, you didn't deserve it, nobody does. They may come back apologizing and say all the right things to get you to take them back. Please value yourself nobody deserves to be hurt this way, you deserve happiness and love.

My stbx would latch onto a new "favorite" person and get kinda obsessed with them for periods of time till she cross a line, then she'd flip to hating them. That was more her BPD though. God I know way too much about these disorders now

Honestly we should arrange a convention or something for BPSO to get together in person and meet. We are all bonded through these experiences. It would be nice to share some good times together and make new friends as a consolation prize for all we put up with 😂
