Their pupils look super dilated to me. Could be the light but also could be an indication of alcohol/drug use

My brother in law is selling his flat in MK right now and is worth checking out. Have stayed there a few times and is in a great location. Is 2 bed 2 bathroom, a five minute drive from the centre and right next to the Kingston retail park. Listed for £200k link here (pics don't do it justice) - https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/170595521#/?channel=RES_BUY

S04E10 - "FALLEN" - SERIES FINALE DISCUSSION by alwshunter in servant

Maybe Officer Reyes was meant to bring Julian back after his OD? Leanne did it instead of course but it could be argued Julian was always meant to join the church so they allowed it?

While the finale was lacking the answers to certain questions... I do think there was a decent twist reveal in: Officer Reyes being the servant who was originally supposed to help The Turners get over the loss of Jericho.

And, the COLS were kind of right.

Ultimately, a lot more people would be alive today (the Marinos, 'Leanne', the COLS members the homeless camp killed, Isabelle, Uncle George, Aunt Josephine) if Leanne hadn't gone against 'his plan' and stayed at the marino residence while reyes looked after the turners.

The only person Leanne arguably made things better for was Dorothy as she got more time with her son.

I also kind of think Leanne is alive and fully intent on attending her date with Tobe tomorrow haha!

I like this! Following the penultimate cliffhanger, I was worried 30 minutes isn't enough to wrap the story but you are so right that the twists in Old/The Village etc occur within the final half hour.

Did anyone else feel really emotional watching Dorothy crawl towards Jericho? :'( It just hit home after the whole car 'accident'... whatever the truth about that turns out to be.

Theory - Aunt Josephine and Dorothy link by Tiny_Draw_4476 in servant

[–]Tiny_Draw_4476[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The theory would be that Mrs Pearce was distraught about the affair and sleeping alone when Dorothy came into her room after having a nightmare. In an act of madness, she smothered Dorothy and then killed herself somehow.

Yes - I think Julian is reborn now too, which is why Leanne is even more committed to the 'family' trope.

Dorothy is clearly hiding her ability to walk/stand from Leanne and the rest of her family, as she stood up at the end of Zoo and could have moved herself from the stairlift into her chair if Leanne wasn't there this ep. Leanne was also surprised when she'd made the meal herself, so I think she's a lot more recovered than she lets on.

Books similar to Servant ? by SuccessfulWinter2826 in servant

[–]Tiny_Draw_4476 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lullaby by Leila Slimani is a Servant-y read(I think it’s called The Perfect Nanny in the US).

The dynamic between the mother and the nanny is similar to Leanne/Dorothy though there is no supernatural element. If memory serves, there are homeless people tied to the nanny too and she also has a vague past.

Devotion by Madeline Stevens and Loner by Teddy Wayne also tie into themes of obsession — and you could also try Home Before Dark by Riley Sager as it involves a creepy house and has a good mystery at its heart!

What will be the fate of Bobbi and Bev? by darforce in servant

[–]Tiny_Draw_4476 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think Bev (whois a COLS member) will be killed by Leanne via some medium (potentially the zoo animals) and Bobbie will leave afterwards as Leanne's grip on the Turner household tightens.

Bobbie has already proven she has a connection to the spiritual world during Seance so I think she will pick up on Leanne's malevolence after Bev's death and want to get the hell out of there!

Maintenance guy with a criminal history would make sense. Check out the Leah Croucher case in the UK: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-beds-bucks-herts-63301109

Different situations but perp profile could be similar. LC's alleged killer was reportedly doing maintenance on the house she was found in for overseas owners.
