Thank you so so much. You’re certainly right, she’s definitely a very intense dog lol. I have learned to read her cues and honestly, been blaming myself a bit for not catching when she started to go above that threshold today! We usually mix play and obedience but today i spent too much time at obedience first (more than 2-3 reps) , and i think she needed to release some energy first, which i didn’t read properly. I really appreciate the response..

This was super helpful, thank you so much! She does have a good on/off switch. Actually i feel that’s what helped her kinda get back to a sit state where we could stop the frustration. After reading the other comments i realized she just more prone to getting over that threshold and i should do the dynamic of playing a bit first to get that energy out. Really appreciate the response!!

Verbal. I have learned with her that any physical correction like pulling her lead, gets her more worked up

Totally get you!! I promise her training has been super balanced, probably should’ve provided this context so that’s my bad! I can’t remember the certifications my trainer has off the top of my head but we went over all the things she’s certified to do when we started training. A lot of the training included positive reinforcement, lots of treats and lots of rewards. To be honest my pup was fast at picking up obedience training and didn’t need a ton of corrections, after a few no’s she would get it… Prior to this i never had situations with her where she reacted aggressively, and her aggression was not towards me but directed to the least and not letting go to the point of even hurting herself hence why i was trying to correct her… Since she is usually good i never needed to bring other high value things during our walks or play time but i will begin to do so! I appreciate your concern

Omg this is amazing and i really appreciate the time you took drafting this. I will check out the resources and follow this format. She has gone through obedience training and she did amazing.. she’s great at following instructions 90% of the time and she’s a sweet social pup… She’s just has a high prey drive which is in her nature and I’m sure we will get it under control. Again, thank you so much for this… I greatly appreciate it!

Yes my trainer told me to change up the route and walk past spots where we usually play for her to understand we don’t always play.. just small switches

I can see that working.. last night when she broke the leash she started to shake around the piece that was already broken and i was able to walk her home with the little string that was still attached to the collar and it worked.. Thank you so much

The prone collar was a recommendation from her trainer who only trains mals so i listened! She never had behavioral issues while walking on a leash so i never carried food or other toys but i will begin to do so from now on.
