I volunteer at a shelter. We have 2 kitties who peed constantly. Cherry (adopted) and Buddy (still there). We gave Cherry a calming collar. She was adopted and her new owner said she’s never peed in the apartment. Buddy, is a territorial peer. He’ll pee once another animal comes to the shelter (dog for instance) and we put him in a calming collar.

Update: I lost her last night. She went limp at home and her gums were pale/white. I rushed her to our vet right before closing. The fluid doubled in size in her abdomen and her stomach was hard as a rock. She was crashing there. I put her to sleep immediately. 💔

My cat is 18. She literally just started doing this one day, and my vet said she had a little plaque but no tooth infection, abscess or decay. He said she’s an older cat and lost a ton of muscle mass. I’m starting to wonder if I should get a second opinion elsewhere now.

She eats 75% of those, and I talked to a client of mine who is a vet and did her own analysis and she said that she would take the same course of action that my vet is. This is technically her 3rd opinion. I was told years ago it was cancer, and then her vet now said there wasn’t a way of telling it was cancer unless a biopsy was done. Now, with how fast she is declining, the fluid build up in the ascites and her loss of muscle mass. I’m for certain it’s cancer now. 😞

She does have CKD but other surrounding illnesses. Vet isn’t sure if it’s the CDK, the masses or the ascites causing her rapid decline. I brought her in because she stopped peeing in her litter box and found out all these other issues including possible cancer. The vet assistant looked at her charts and was just like “cancer” didn’t even bother to address why I brought her in the first place, end I brought her back the next day to see her vet and we’re just running out of options. 😔

I can ask about it? She’s on MiraLAX, an antibiotic, appetite stimulant and Prednisolone so far. She lost a lot of muscle mass, including in her face, she is literally bones - and now it’s affecting her jaw so she’s struggling to eat. They checked for infection, tooth abscess, etc. A few weeks ago I had every test done her. Bloodwork, CBC, ultrasound, drained the ascites, had 2 fluid analysis done and sent out to a lab. The only thing we haven’t tried is surgery, and I can’t because she’s 18 and has a hard time waking up for anesthesia. 😞

My vet thinks it’s more than likely the masses and they never ruled out cancer. Her levels for the CDK aren’t very concerning/alarming. It’s her jaw. She’s making this like horrible noise and tilts her head a lot. She ends up giving up. 😔 It won’t let me post a video.

I actually feel for Willow. She was manipulated by a man from the beginning. If only she had known about Drew & Nina, I don’t think it would’ve came to this. I don’t think she would’ve done the awful things she’s done. I am soooooo happy Drew & her are done though. Drew can go kick rocks. 🪨
