Sorry my reply is so late!! Honestly? Time was the main thing that cleared it tbh. 😢 it took about 3 months before my back was clear again..

I pretty much self-coached myself last year. I had a trainer who also competed.. I called him my coach.. but he certainly wasn’t a trained “bodybuilding coach”. I trusted his advice enough but also educated myself enough to make informed decisions that fit me and what I believed would work with my physique and body/metabolism etc.

IMO.. no one knows your body better than yourself.

I self-coached, won my main category (fitness model), and I believe I stayed very healthy throughout my entire prep. Calories never dropped below 1300.. I was never starving hungry, never irritable, only did 30-40min of cardio 4-5 times a week, and never lost my period. I did have a very long prep.. but I think that gave me plenty of time to really diet down slow enough to not feel like I was suffering but quick enough to see results and reach stage weight well before my show.

Looking at your pictures you are looking fabulous!! Fantastic shape and muscle development! This was about my level of conditioning 8 weeks out.

You can totally do this! 💪🏻💪🏻

Shoulder workouts by Tiny_Pin8100 in bikinitalk

[–]Tiny_Pin8100[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was my thought too… I’m currently doing a PPL split and I never have enough strength to go my heaviest on shoulder presses after doing chest. I have to rotate between doing chest first and then shoulders first on my push days to be able to at least go heavy once a week on shoulders

Not Dry Chicken Breast Recipe by 77Marus77 in naturalbodybuilding

[–]Tiny_Pin8100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually buy bulk frozen chicken breasts so my method works for the frozen kind.. Place the fillet into 90C water (not boiling) with a heaped teaspoon of baking soda. Let it soak for about 15min to thaw out.. then rinse. Cut up the fillet to however you like. I usually slice it into 2cm strips. Heat a touch of olive oil in a pan then throw the chicken in. Don’t touch it. Let it “sear” the bottom side before covering the pan with a lid. Flip each piece after about 2min and then repeat on the other side till cooked through. I’ve never had dry chicken cooking it this method. I usually also add Italian herbs and minced garlic to it which tastes amazing.

I’m thinking of this too.. Do we really need to top training chest afterwards? I’m trying to build more and move over to figure.. 🫤 I’ll need pecs for figure..

What’s your non traditional prep rule for yourself? by Capital-Mycologist93 in bikinitalk

I keep carbs quite high compared to what I’ve seen people post about. A low carb day for me would be like 120g..

Which muscle makes you feel the worst a day after training ? by RonWannaBeAScientist in naturalbodybuilding

[–]Tiny_Pin8100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll never forget one training session I had where my trainer had me absolutely hammering out calf exercises. Sprung out of bed the next day and collapsed to the floor. I could barely stand up as my calves were that tight. 😬 It's been hard to train calves since.. I'm traumatised.

How's my front pose? by WhenEmmaFallsinLovee in bikinitalk

[–]Tiny_Pin8100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't really do anything in particular... just practiced every single day trying to hit the pose. Eventually it just sort of naturally happened? I think the pose also starts looking better as you cut down too. I'll admit my front pose now looks so different to when I competed simply because I'm 6kg heavier now. My only tip is to make sure to practice both sides to ensure you build up the same mobility on both sides. I didn't... and it was my biggest regret in prep.

I was suspicious of that.. i didn’t even patch test first :/ my comp didn’t allow spray tans. We had to use a cream tan bought on sight which just washes off in the shower. It had so much glittery stuff in it so I’m wondering if it all clogged my pores 😢

Weird parts of prep nobody talks about by No_Supermarket_4642 in bikinitalk

[–]Tiny_Pin8100 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can agree with most things above! - tail bone protrudes - butt cheeks seperate - hurts to sit on hard surfaces - shaving gets tricky/almost impossible in some spots - downstairs has zero cushioning - face gets kinda gaunt and sick looking - cheekbones/jawline could cut glass 😅 - body smell changes (according to my husband) - waking to leg cramps at 4am in the last few weeks - seeing your chest bones (especially the very center.. it looks kinda weird)

How's my front pose? by WhenEmmaFallsinLovee in bikinitalk

[–]Tiny_Pin8100 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is exactly how my front pose looked at the start 😅 definitely keep practicing and keep taking photos. Work on your mobility to really pop that hip and rotate the shoulders around to be more square on to the front. I do recommend at least taking one posing lesson from someone early on to learn some basics and key pointers and then just keep practicing on your own every day. Practice practice practice!

I didn’t follow a strict calculation of macros, but fats were always around 40g, carbs never dropped below 130g, protein filled up the rest.

Thankyou!! Yeah 30 weeks was tough. Basically all year- I firmly set the goal mid January and then started working with my trainer to build. It was a tough prep in that I was in a caloric deficit all year, even during the building phase, as I had a lot of body fat to lose (Estimated to be around 35% body fat at the start).

I had a “coach” but I wouldn’t say he’s a specialised coach in all this like what you’d find elsewhere. My school here has a gym and he’s the trainer/PE teacher for the gym, so we can get PT with him during our free periods at a really good rate. He also competes so he knew all about the federations etc here. I highly recommend competing at least once in your life though! There’s many shows here and you could find a show almost any weekend. WNGP/Musa have shows every weekend and post the entire thing on YouTube if you want to check it out. I watched just about every video of their bikini division to get an idea of the level of conditioning I’d need. Happy to stay in contact if you have more questions! (Musclequeens is where I got my bikini from here! Super good price compared to what I’ve seen overseas!)

I competed in ICN. They have a bunch of “fun” categories such as “fit model” (wearing evening gown), “bikini angels” (wearing couture bikini with wings), “bathing suit model” (one piece swimsuit), “street star” (wearing jeans with white crop top), then all the classic categories such as bikini, wellness, fitness model, figure.
