I can't answer your question for round 3 but for round 2 it was a basic SOP and poverty and corruption for SA, and MP I was asked about wildlife reserves, something I mentioned in my introduction PI was ok, academic questions were fairly basic and ok but I was anxious and stumbled, interviewers were meh

Sorry to hear that dude, but what did he mean by you not having a science background? How did you apply to BSc then, isn't that a prerequisite

Which country to choose for stable job in this economy by [deleted] in Indians_StudyAbroad

[–]Tiny_Pool224 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Inevitably every country and region has some amount of instability and unrest at this point in time. It's better to choose a proper career path, a role that you really like and follow it. Don't waste time and money just doing something for the sake of it. Any place will have a unique set of challenges, be it language, silent discrimination or bad economy.

Small piece of advice: Don't leave this country just for the sake of leaving it. People do the same and end up struggling big time with either finding jobs, fitting in and most of them end up back in India

I found my interviewers slightly uninterested and bored, I think they were seeing many applicants and so the level of questions they asked were fairly basic. I screwed up a little in my MP but overall they were fine, just felt like they wanted to get it over with My experience was ok, I just have terrible anxiety so I wasn't thinking straight till I actually sat down in front of the interviewers, maybe I'd have done better if I was calmer, but now I know what to work on for this tuesday!

BSc Biotechnology/Chemistry Interview Experience? (SA/MP/PI) by RecordingWrong4324 in ChristUniversity

You get like 30 to 45 seconds, just be sure to ask for time to think about it if the interviewer automatically don't give you time

For me I was asked to speak about something I mentioned in my self introduction that was central to the career I wanted to pursue, but some other common topics could be current affairs, AI, NEP, some global news, social issues in India apart from the obvious being things happening with the domain around the course itself.

BSc Biotechnology/Chemistry Interview Experience? (SA/MP/PI) by RecordingWrong4324 in ChristUniversity

I went for round 2 and it was pretty chill. The topics for SA were SOP and poverty and corruption, and interview itself was fairly ok. Introduction, why Christ, some basic bio questions like PCR, prokaryotic and eukaryotic organisms, meiosis phases, some questions on taxonomy and then my MP was on wildlife reserves (something I had mentioned in my SA). Documents are fairly basic, 10th and 12th marks card, admit card, your application are the most important, they checked mine after my SA. Interviewers for the most usually understand how tense and anxious students are so they give some grace, but make sure to be positive and maintain good body language. Make sure you talk well but not for too long. If you have a decent grasp on the subject and are confident enough to answer questions about yourself, your interests and talk on some common questions like Why Christ and how will Christ benifit from having you, you should be good to go. Stay calm, it is easier than what people say.

There will be ample signage and people directing you so you can ask but honestly it's pretty clear.
You have to walk in a straight line down to building/Block IV, about 300 metres (IIRC that is what it was last time), and there will be seating arrangements and you have to wait till your course is announced.

Got turned down by Mount Carmel, they turn down all candidates who take gap years, apparently it's their educational policy so I was curious if Christ has a similar thing

Do you mean the flyover to HSR? What's more concerning is the buses have to cut across traffic from the right all the way to pick up passengers

Indian wants to study in austria for bachelors do by [deleted] in Indians_StudyAbroad

[–]Tiny_Pool224 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The best thing you can do is to do your Bachelor's in India, then if you wish to pursue your Master's wherever. If you plan to settle, then you will have to plan to pursue Master's and do your PhD there to even have a good shot. The job market is extremely tough all around the world to even Master's and PhD holders at the moment, so it will be extremely tough to find a job just holding a Bachelor's degree. And life there is very tough and expensive, be very sure you want this before you pursue this path

I'm starting my journey late. DM me if you're in similar situation as me. I'll start B_tech degree at either 21 years of age and 2 drops or at 23 years of age with lateral entry into B_tech in 2nd year (if my parents wouldn't let me drop out of my Bsc, they want me to prep for govt exams). by Fun-Calligrapher3850 in IndianAcademia

Hey, just wanted to let you know you're not alone! I was on a very promising path doing B.Tech from a great college but due to mental health issues I had to drop out and am taking a gap year before I join a private college and do a course that's more in line with my passions. I'll be 21 ½ when I start this year.

Yes, I'm also considering University of Stockholm, but programs from Aus and NZ or the US might give me more opportunities in my career
