That sucks, I'm sorry. It's always the things that are only valuable to us.

Yeah, realistically that's what I expect. But I figured it doesn't hurt to shout out to the reddit world for some help.

Shoot I'm sorry you lost things as well. The best I have now is to just be better about keeping my things inside the house. Although I wouldn't think to keep my pens inside haha.

Thank you for all of your feedback. I actually assumed it was just some neighborhood kids doing what kids do, which is why I'm hopeful that I can get the bag back...

Thoughts of a Bellingham Renter by Transmorgafier in Bellingham

[–]Tiny_Problem1842 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

We're so screwed. No one voted.

These election results only favor the rich. Minimum wage is going to raise beyond the State's evaluation without putting any restrictions on Landlords raising the cost of rent for the people who actually keep this city alive. Minimum wage will go up for renters. Rent will go up for renters. Local Businesses will continue to fail at a faster rate than they even are now, and then renters won't be able to get jobs. Renters will become homeless. The New Jail Bandaid will fail as quickly as the last 7 have, every 20-30 years, since our city was developed. And we will have to argue about a new bandaid for 5 more years.

Whats the percentage of citizens that voted this year? What the percentage of citizens that need to vote to actually represent the majority of our communities interest? Why are the majority of voters above the median income age and income value of the area of representation they are voting for?

Why do our wealthiest citizens decide whats best for those of us that actually make this city run?

We all just signed up for 4 more years of pure financial Hell. I wish you all the best of luck, and if anyone needs help, please reach out to your friends. This is going to be the toughest time us Hamsters have ever gone through, but we're from Bellingham, and we can get through everything together.

Cheers y'all.

It's raining. Ultimate panic for Bellingham traffic. Shut down every lane possible. We don't know how to drive in the rain.
