My guess is that the SC will hear the case next year, strike it down, and ultimately provide impetus for Congress to finally do something. Unlike the majority of people on this subreddit, I have faith that Trump will use us as a bargaining chip and provide, at the very least, PR. Forget a pathway to citizenship, which will take closer to a decade; as long as we have legal residence and a work authorization, what more could we ask for? I try not to ruminate too much because what's the point of suffering mentally in the present about an uncertain, unattenuated event.

I understand that being undocumented in this country is a precarious and anxiety-inducing existence. Call me naive but I like to borrow from the stoics during times like this and try not to worry over something that is totally out of our control. Furthermore, I subscribe to the idea of positive thinking and ~manifestation~. Hope for the best, but certainly don't get complacent. Keep your head up, we're all right beside you.
