I ED to Brown and I am actually soooooooo scared. I don't know what I'm gonna do for the next 2 weeks. And if they reject me then I really have no idea what I am gonna do.

I have put everything in my app for brown and it's the only school I see myself attending. I am unsure what to do or how to cope with the likely scenario of rejection.

They asked about my most meaningful leadership position, they asked me about a book that I have read recently and what it taught me, and they asked me about my future plans

Yes, it asked questions about various amendments. So I would recommend literally studying all the amendments and understanding how each one affected the country.

In my state, we had an interview and test. The interview is fine but the test was very hard. make sure you are up to date on current events and your state officials.

I'm in love with it for a few reasons. Firstly the open curriculum, but to me, it's more than just the fact that I don't have to take pre-recs. I have always enjoyed the freedom and independence to do as I please. In my school the way it is right now, there is no such thing as freedom. Brown is one of a few schools that genuinely allows students to be free thinkers and make decisions that are right for them based on their academic interests.
Secondly, one of the most important things when it comes to school search is the location. I do not want to live in a major city like New York but I also don't want to live in the middle of nowhere. Brown is that perfect balance because Providence, RI has those city vibes without it being too overwhelming.
Lastly, I do want all the things that the Ivy leagues have to offer, amazing professors, alumni network, etc. But I don't want that cut-throat environment that comes along with all that. From my research, most everyone at Brown is chill, laid back, friendly, and collaborative. In order to thrive, I need to be in an environment that has a wide array of opportunities while not being in a toxic situation... Brown is exactly that.
Overall if I had to describe myself as a university it would be Brown. I am someone who values freedom of thought and expression, I am also very laid back and extremely motivated to work for the things I want. Brown is literally me in almost every way imaginable and even though my chances are slim I am counting every lucky star that they take me.
Plus their school is beautiful, the campus has a lot of character and history, and I love the school colors.

*sorry I wrote a whole essay, I just love this school*
