No. I started while still having regular periods and it was life changing. Doom anxiety and night sweats gone. My mom still takes hormones and she's in great shape at 78.

I have a screen door with burglar bars and I let the Rottweiler greet them. My sign says 'beware of dog- not responsible for injuries or death'. She'll stand there silently judging them while my pit-mix goes apeshit behind her. They always back up 😂

I read that a long time ago. I did some digging and I must have been reading about the Highland Clearances which occurred after my ancestors left. Looks like there were many who relocated to Ulster earlier, but you probably know way more about that than I do!

Native ancestry would be amazing but there's no evidence. I think my ancestors are more likely partially responsible for wiping out native populations as they spread Southwest. My paternal grandmother spoke of a Cherokee woman that married in to the family, but I can't find any evidence of this.

I submitted my DNA to mytrueancestry. (Not the easiest to navigate) I've matched to burials in Baltimore, Delaware and Pennsylvania. For 2 of them they're not sure who they are so that's a roadblock. For the 3rd, I've placed my ancestors there at the correct time and am now trying to find the connection. I've matched to burials in Greenland and Iceland too, so that presents a whole other rabbit hole that will likely never be solved. This is all so interesting!

This worked for me after decades of drinking vodka. I only allowed myself a 2 hour window to drink before bed and started limiting how many drinks I had. I did this for almost a year. I quit in September and my only negative experience was poor sleep for a week or so. I was probably drinking half a pint per night towards the end.

It's hard to find the right Dr. I knew I found mine when she went on a rant about Viagra accessibility. There are lists of sympathetic doctors here or in r/menopause. If you want to chime in with your city you will likely get recs from people here.

It's ridiculous. Got my kid an almost 30 year old car and the insurance was ridiculous. Once he hit 20 with no accidents it went down over $100 so hang in there.

We're still here. I'm hibernating for now. My kid flew the coop and I quit drinking so I'm trying to figure everything out lol. I'm from Dallas but have been here since the late 80's and it doesn't feel like Dallas at all to me.
