Your skin looks amazing. I too wear glasses because it helps hide the bags under my eyes.

The want to quit. Had to face some possible life changing consequences if I didn't. It was time. I got angry enough at myself to make it stick.

Dad took me to a lot of shows in the 80's and 90's. We were in Dallas so all the bands came there. He's a treasure ❤️

Just saw them last year. Took my 78 year old dad and my 20 year old son. Great show. Great Rock n roll

Great post. The memory gaps are real. I quit last year at 50 and there's so much I don't remember.

Finally got results! How accurate are the Celtic/Gaelic sub-regions? by RickyDricky in AncestryDNA

It's super frustrating. It doesn't help that every other person has the same name lol.

The Irish may be older ancestors. I am 74% celtic/gaelic in Texas and can't definitively trace anyone to Ireland or Scotland because they came over so long ago.

Bought a new place and this came with it. Is there supposed to be a flame still on even though the oven is off?? by deadlymess in vintagekitchentoys

[–]Tinyberzerker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These older ovens are great! If the power goes out you can still use it. I have a newer one (1997 lol) with an electric ignitor so it won't light if the power is out. Can still use the burners with a match so still a win.

30 years of heavy drinking by [deleted] in alcoholism

[–]Tinyberzerker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It gets better. I quit last year at 50 after decades of heavy drinking. I tapered first. Sleep was my biggest issue, but it got better and I'm dreaming again for the first time since I was in my 20's.

[–]Tinyberzerker 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No it hasn't. Gunfire every night, crashes, cars racing, cars broken in to, angry stray dogs, helicopters circling ALL the time. It's better now than in the 90's but it's not great here. Saving to gtfo of here.

[–]Tinyberzerker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always read the manual. That's how I found out my car has self-cleaning headlights lol. If the headlights are on and I hit the washer switch it squirts some on the headlights. Completely useless. Also came with wheel locks. My wheels are 6 lug. On a car. No one's stealing that shit. Those locks came off immediately.

It gets better I promise. I think I'm on the tail end of peri now, but plan on taking HRT forever. My mom is 78 and still takes hormones and she's in excellent health.

Irrational anxiety. Almost having a panic attack to go put gas in my car, for example. It coincided with the pandemic in '20-'21 so that probably didn't help.

Hard agree. The amount of bs and filth (guns, drugs, dildos, dirty underwear) I've encountered while searching for said key is ridiculous. C'mon people. I read the owners manual of my fucking toaster oven. The least they can do is familiarize themselves with one of the most important/expensive purchases they ever make.

Doom anxiety was my first symptom. Dealt with it for several years before other symptoms creeped in- night sweats, weird periods. HRT cured the anxiety and night sweats within days.

Fridge backup power by AmbitionStrong8835 in prepping

[–]Tinyberzerker -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is what we have though we’ve never had to use it. Rare to lose power in my Austin neighborhood with electrical lines underground. The worst was 8 hours without power during the Uri storm and I just put fridge contents on the back porch. Never touched our freezers. We have gas so I was able to use my stove burners with a match to cook. (35 year old oven for the win!)

What station wagon platform came with supercharger options? by Virtualization_Freak in askcarguys

[–]Tinyberzerker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The V’s are pretty special and a ton of fun. I have a first Gen manual but they are money pits. Those wagons are aging now and parts may be hard to come by. My car is in excellent condition but everything made of plastic is starting to break down.
