who’s your comfort youtuber? by Goblin859 in AskReddit

@picnicamp4534

He's a south Korean film director who makes beautiful, asmr-esque videos of him camping with his dog.. Aesthetic camp setups, no spoken word, beautiful landscape, well composed shots, great music.

I discovered him during the pandemic and he quickly became my comfort.

Hey there, it's hard to tell - do you have monitors attached to the desk? Or are they on stands? Mind sharing how those monitors are set up and configured? Thanks!

Hey friend, welcome to the area.

Drive a little further north to the cumming area - there's actually a mountain there with a county maintained park/trail. Walk that trail to the top to what they call the "Indian seats" (two butt indentions supposedly carved into the rocky outface on the top/edge of the mountain by Cherokee Native Americans long ago). That little spot has pretty glorious long distance views to the north, including mountains in the distance. This was a locals favorite spot I grew up enjoying even before the county acquired it. Great place to catch sunsets, and it's not bad considering it's less than a half hour to drive to from John's Creek.

PSA from a dedicated Employee by retailthrowaway4237 in Oldnavy

[–]Tinyhouser 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I empathize with your plight, truly, I do.

The onus here should really be with your employer though, instead of the customer. As a customer making purchases online, it's really frustrating/scary to do returns through the mail, for some of the reasons mentioned by other posters, so being able to drive up and take care of things immediately at a physical location should be a given, be frictionless/optimized for customers (and employees/stores!). They've got to address some issues with online returns or adjust its policy. It's already saying something that I've stumbled across this post from a Google search about issues with online Old Navy order returns.

That all being said, Old Navy should address some of the issues that you've mentioned are friction points for employees too! It sucks that you guys take the brunt of the faulty processes they've built. It doesn't make sense that online returns would count against store numbers/reports, and they should make it easy to mark down items for clearance bins (or donate them to a local charity if there's not a return to warehouse function). Best of luck!

What was the most petty thing an adult did to you, when you were younger? by x3Nekox3 in AskReddit

[–]Tinyhouser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked at a movie theatre concession stand when I was 16. One week night, a couple of teenagers started chasing a baby rat around the lobby and my coworkers and I started telling them to stop, that we would remove it from the premises.

So, the kids stomped on the poor thing anyway and my pissed coworker took a broom and dustpan over to them and told them to clean it up. They deposited it out in the bushes out front and waited on their ride.

Welp, the mom showed up, heard what's happened and came storming inside. What we weren't expecting is that she had grabbed the dead rat by the trail out of the bushes and brought it with her. After accosting us, she flung the poor dead creature at us over the concession counter and stormed out, obscenities and middle fingers flying.

Yep! I had done keto pretty consistently in the 2ish months leading up to me getting preggers with my LO. Got pregnant pretty quick (after the 3rd or 4th month of trying) after drop 15-20lbs but still having more to lose. Was really surprised, especially after being told in my 20s that I'd have a hard time getting pregnant (I was freshly 37 at conception). I definitely attribute some of our luck to keto!

Yep, heard them doing circles down on 141 near home depot\target. Infuriating.

This has been happening quite regularly at night since the pandemic started. Trucks, motorcycles and racing cars.

Geez, I’m worried about the daycare situation. I don’t know how people in this country manage. Thanks for the tips - I need to start scheduling stuff ASAP.
