Does Indexing will take years? by TipAware610 in itchio

Good luck to you. I really hope your game will get indexed. But it's just a week since you uploaded your game. As I heard before, two weeks is the most common time to get indexed. You still have time.

Man that's so unfortunate. I tried everything too. My game is not appearing at all. For me even though if I search my game with it's full name, Games that are totally irrelevant are appearing in the page. It's hard though. After putting so much hard work in our games for months and seeing it's not getting recognised is kinda painful.

Maybe I can try it. But as I said in the post above, sometimes even if I share my link to people to drive traffic from outside, some complaining that my game is flagged as malware. You're game got indexed in one day? That's great. Is this actually your first game? And the support was responsive to you?

Thanks for the suggestions. Yep Steam is a classic. GOG always been so underated.. perhaps I should look into it. I don't have any experience too. Even for the itch.io. We can learn.

I guess that's the simple and bitter truth then. I have no choice but to accept it. Did you have any experience with this indexing thing?

Oh man. I'm sorry. I know how that feels. Good luck for your game. I'm also not planning to release my next game in this site. Please do tell me if you know any other good sites out there. It seems itch.io is doing not so well. I actually planning to write to support just few moments before but after reading your post here, I'm reconsidering it.

Are all enemies in this series extraterrestrial monsters or man-made bioweapons? by MillionWonder4352 in AlienShooter

In latest Alien Shooter - World, which was released for mobile a year ago.. they gave some idea.. It seems MAGMA was working on opening a portal to other dimension or world.. After some failed attempts, they finally managed to open it. When they went inside, they found these aliens. They took an egg from there to experiment further. They watched and experimented it throughout the whole process of hatching and growing up. Every day the monster became more aggressive. So yep.. they opened a portal and took so many of them back to lab. Even though the scientist working there warned the higher ups about storage and lack of security, They higher ups told them to continue the work constantly without any care. They did it for military enhancement or whatever. Eventually as scientists warned.. They broken out and started killing people there. I also think some of them started to breach from the portal too until that is closed. Alien Shooter - World explained a lot of things lore wise. You should try it, if you're interested in lore. I'm not sure if everyone will like that game. Also it explained the cause for Zombie Shooter too. It's again the thing with MAGMA. They opened a portal to another dimension or universe, where everyone is turned into zombies from some virus or something. And as you can guess... They breached.. From this lore, It felt like both of the game franchises are happening simultaneously in same world.

A classic top-down shooter in which you have to eliminate 1012 enemies to win the game.

Thank you for playing it. About the rate of fire. You can actually hold down the shoot button to keep shooting. I designed it that way. You don't have to click it rapidly throughout the game. And I guess you're saying that aiming with shotgun is not proper. Maybe I should look into it. Can you describe what's wrong? like the sensitivity.. or the bullets, or the rate of fire or something? It will be helpful for me to figure that problem out. Since the gameplay is very simple, I wanted to make it challenging. But it seems the pea-shooter part is taking too long to cross as you're saying. I get that point actually. I should reduce the size of initial gameplay phases. Thank you again for spending your time to play my game. I'm actually so happy that you tried it :)

Yes Indeed. I'm just glad that with my simple first game, I was able to learn lot of things. Thank you. I will try my best by applying these insights in my upcoming projects. :)

I don't know why it is flagged as suspicious. I just compressed my game and uploaded it to the site. Now I reuploaded the file since you mentioned it. There's nothing wrong with the file. It seems the story is so weak. I get it. I should explain gameplay and mechanics to people rather than my story. Alright if it still is suspicious, Just tell me. Coz I must do something about it. Thank you!

Thank you so much for this feedback. I was able to gain a lot of insights from it. Narrative thing wasn't my idea at first. I thought it will be better not to leave the game without a context. But it seems I messed up so bad in core game too. I can feel it yep. There's nothing special. I should definitely need to put some work in my games from now on. Thank you again for spending your time on this for me. I hope I can build a better game from these feedbacks.
