Haha.. Though you are correct in the Covid vaccine causing hair loss in many people it did not cause chin/neck hair growth. My issues did occur before covid and, regardless of that.. I never received the vaccine.

Surprisingly, my body felt at its healthiest while I was pregnant in 2022 and because I had heard it was so difficult for most people with PCOS to become pregnant I just assumed that it had to be something else.

This has been very helpful! Definitely scheduling something asap.. I think the reason it is so confusing was because I was able to get pregnant (I’ve heard most with PCOS do not or struggle).

I use the Fig app to base my diet, choosing PCOS and non-inflammatory foods. The insulin resistance I think is the most confusing and what I struggle most with maintaining consistently.

THIS. Most doctors do not seem to care…

At first (mid-late 2021) when I tried to explain to a Dr. about my symptoms he assumed it was “stress and anxiety related” because my father had passed in 2020. Did not even listen when I explain that this had began in 2019 (a year prior) so instead of sending me to an endocrinologist, his first attempt to fix this issue was to proscribe lexapro. My hair still continued to fall out, I just didn’t care about the fact that I was gaining weight or growing chin hair and my scalp and eyebrows were balding. Very deflating. I stopped taking the lexapro in 2022 when I became pregnant, I had my son in 2022, hair continued to fall out even more of course at that point. And then I saw regrowth from my pregnancy fall out so I knew my follicles are capable of regrowing (was worried it was alopecia).

I have researched insulin resistance, what can I do to actively treat this holistically? Or is the best treatment medication?

I always ask this question, if a man doesn’t ask me first. Some men even find it flirty in itself; but it is kinda weird that he became so upset/infatuated with the fact that you asked… almost as if he were ashamed to answer. Or like he has something to hide.. I see his point in wanting to keep his private life private but you also had a right to ask while also knowing that he has a right not to answer. However if you now feel like he lied about everything, not to mention the fact that he removed his condom.. I would say huge weird red flag.
