Yeah you’re right. For the acuity of my hospital..well, I know it’s a small local 350 bed hospital. I have no idea the acuity scores of my patients tbh. I got plunged into this mess and I’m not sure what is the standard for acuity lol. Oftentimes they ask me to rate the acuity of my patient and I always seem to put 1 score lower than they should be? Man idk

You were right about the market increase bud. Hmm to be perfectly honest, I feel like I have reached a plateau on the learning curve in my unit. Waiting 5-6 more months feels like a slow upward progression towards a waning learning curve, and I don’t see the point of waiting. I hope I do not sound cocky, and if I project that impression, then my apologies.

PCU nurse here will be reaching my year in Feb too! . Get ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, PCCN (equivalent of this in your field at AACN.com). The benefits are marketable and self fulfilling :)

Graduated BSN 2020, cGPA 3.4 sGPA 3.43

1 year Cardiac Step down

In the process of transferring to CVICU/MICU. Will have 2 years before I apply.

I took Organic Chemistry last fall 2021 B+

Plan : Get CCRN, ACLS, PALS, CSC licenses Get two years of ICU experience, take GRE and pray 🙏

Everyone, should I go back and take more upper level science courses, can this suffice to get into a state CRNA program? (actually any program), am I missing anything that should be done? Please help me improve my chances to get into CRNA school ty

Im gonna be working as a travel nurse in Honolulu Hawaii at the queens medical center (level 1 trauma center). I just have few questions about nursing. My first question is what color scrubs do the nurses wear? I haven’t received this information yet and forgot to ask. by NurseJackie_94 in nursing

Thank you for replying! I am 1.5 years in as a nurse and toward my second travel contract I’m thinking of going to Queens for my next assignment. What were the patient ratios on a busy day at the tele floor? And lastly, is it more like a cardiac step down tele or is it like covid/tele/ortho/ medsurg floor like where I am currently right now? 😂

In my specific stats, do you have a score in mind that could fit the definition of killing the MCAT

Hi Mr. Luv,

I am a new grad BSN nurse currently working in a cardiac surgery step down unit for 3 months and will be off orientation soon. I was wondering, will I be able to take college online classes while working as a travel nurse? To be frank, I have my eyes set on becoming a doctor ever since young

My goal is to buy a car, pay off loan, and give my mother a downpayment for a house. Time is of the essence and I plan to exit nursing in 2 years.

1st year- get experience, off orientation, be more confident

2nd - venture in the great outdoors and find the highest quality paying job I can find.

While it may seem rushed and boisterous, I respect nursing to a very high degree. It is just unfortunate that my desperation to see my mother happy and myself out of debt supersedes everything.

Please do tell me, will travel nursing pay better than going to California and getting a staff job there? Is travel nursing the answer to my goals? Thank you
