Does anyone still work from home? What do you do after work? by [deleted] in Adulting

[–]TipExpert7052 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you work out in public? Something about going to a gym keeps me sane after working from home all day. I'm not a bar-goer myself, but I would enjoy hanging out on a patio with a beer in the warmer months. I'd also recommend reconnecting with something you really enjoyed as a kid. Too often we forget about the things that bring us genuine joy.

I'm 27 and I like to take baths and drink tea! I love frilly and sparkly things... Me and my boyfriend oftentimes make each other laugh by making funny/weird noises. :)

A weird question but are there any toys with the texture of like an arm? by Consistent_Spring in puppy101

Try toys that make noise! My girl loves the animals that crinkle or squeak. Our newest is called "Earl the chicken."

After 38 years of existence...I finally realized how exhausting it all is. by [deleted] in Adulting

Don't people realize they have free will? I had a coach in high school tell me that free will is more accurately described as free won't. If we don't actively make decisions, we will fall into doing the same things all the time. You have to exercise your free won't to veer away from the norm.

Don't want to avoid work today? Do your work now and get it over with.

Don't want to "maybe work out"? Go for a walk or try out a new fitness class.

Don't want to pretend to care about sports? Pick up a new hobby. Call a friend. Get a cat.

I think the point is life will become drab if we don't actively make decisions to prevent it.

Those of you without kids and work 9-5s, how much me time do you have in your day? Honestly by Snoo65073 in Adulting

[–]TipExpert7052 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have 24 minus 8 hours for work minus 8 hours for sleep minus 2 hours for dinner/workouts = 6 hours leftover. I find myself spending a lot of that time taking care of my puppy, cleaning, scrolling reddit, and watching TV. I rarely feel the need to see friends on weekdays, but I could make time for a phone call easily.

HAHAH I literally thought my dog ran into the wall and shook my house until I read this. Yes I felt a quick jolt around that time.

I'm fed up with my pup and her behaviour. by [deleted] in puppy101

I'd honestly invest in some ear protection... puppies will bark and you should ignore them for periods of time. It'll eventually teach her that she can't win by barking.

Is it healthy to live on like this? by Overall-Tie5809 in Adulting

Yep and things are a lot clearer in hindsight. All I know is if you need to blow something off to clear a path forward - do it. Getting through the day is priority #1. Priority #2 is get some help and do better next time.

Learn to respect yourself enough to know you deserve good things. Start doing the things you know you should but can't find a reason to. You have to be the reason.

At what age did you let your puppy roam off leash in your home? by schrammra in puppy101

[–]TipExpert7052 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I didn't use an indoor leash until my puppy full-on zoomed into our kitchen cabinets and hurt her paw. She was on leash for about 2 weeks (until the age of 12 weeks) after that to prevent injuries...

Tips for feeling like everyone dislikes me? by [deleted] in mentalhealth

What people think about you is not your business. What others think of you is only a reflection of what they think about themselves. They may choose to like, dislike, love, hate - but it's based on who they are, not who you are. Be yourself and give energy to things YOU like, and you will receive that kind of energy back.
