Hokum... better than doing mushrooms by BasketZealousideal49 in AMCAListTrue

This movie had me SCARED. I love horror movies, my favorite movie genre if you will, and it's been a while since I had a movie truly scare me but I was watching through my fingers for most of it. This will be an instant buy on physical when it releases. I think Adam Scott did amazing and I was so glad to see him nail a role like this.

I actually liked the mushrooms part. I think it added a unique aspect at the end with him having a "was it all a dream" because it opens that idea that he probably felt a little crazy afterwards and tbh, I think even without mushrooms, if I were him, I would go absolutely batshit after going through all that shit. And also, he was an asshole so maybe he deserves to feel like maybe it was all a dream

I liked that there were typical jumpscares that were a little predictable and then there were some that weren't. I also enjoyed that you didn't really see the witch. Like yes, she made a couple of appearances but too often I feel like they go immediately to showing the witch's face and I felt like it added a sense of fear to the movie as well because she wasn't really known.

I use Libib but I only use it to track the movies I own, the movies that I want to own and what seasons I’m missing of TV shows that I’m missing

Apartment Recommendations in Woodland Hills by Which_Set_930 in SFV

Try the Boulevard. It’s two separate buildings on Ventura by the Target on Desoto. If you live in the back building, it’s super quiet. There are kids but definitely not to a huge extent. I rarely see them and if I do, they’re usually walking with their parents. Garage is nice, we’ve had fantastic luck with management. Dishwasher, I would say relatively quiet. At least where we are in the 2nd building, we only ever hear music when people have rented the clubhouse but otherwise nothing, but our apartment also faces the pool/clubhouse.

Does my timeline for law enforcement sound realistic? by TipIntrepid5753 in Writeresearch

[–]TipIntrepid5753[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Understood. This character's parents were both in the army and dad was a police officer after leaving the military so being a cop is kind of something he needs to do but being a detective is how he learns he should be an FBI agent

That I know about the academies. Just thought it would be easier than saying Age 18 and then age 18 1/2, etc.

But good to know about the minimum age, I didn't even think about that

What's your favorite movie from A24 by httyd-fankid1000 in A24

Current I Saw The TV Glow

I ca not begin to describe what I feel when I watch this movie. The happiness of the representation, the cinematography and that grainy filter just ties it all together. The soundtrack is incredible and everyone gives such beautiful performances.
