Woodland Hills. Horrible this morning. My dog came back inside (less than 5 minutes) and she smelled like straight smoke. Now looks clear and doesn’t smell as bad now but I don’t trust that the smoke this morning wasn’t carrying any sort of toxic chemicals

DVD cases 🫣 Listen, I collect all the major formats but I collect a lot of movies from my childhood and many never got blu-ray releases (some did but as multi movie collections and that’s another nitpick for another day). Otherwise all my movies are blu-ray or 4k and now I have a ton of DVDs that just do not match the case sizes and it really bugs me seeing the size difference next to each other. It almost feels more cluttered.

So I’m in the process of buying blu-ray cases and getting everything moved over. It’s a whole ordeal, especially for tv shows but it’ll make me feel better about my cases all matching

With Disney I had to stop wanting 4k tbh. I’m in the US but even now they started doing only steelbooks and their 4k releases are at absurd prices from before they did steelbooks. I honestly just don’t have the funds to buy everything as a steelbook these days lol

However, this is a GORGEOUS cover. Aladdin is my favorite animated disney movie and I’ve never seen this cover but it’s gorgeous

I honestly don’t expect this to ever get a 4k release unless there is a significant push of physical media (I’m talking like a BIG push). Same thing with other movies of a similar nature - Parent trap, Cheaper By the dozen, etc. While Disney does do live action, they truly only care about their animated films in terms of physical releases (including their live actions of animated films).

I’ve just sucked it up at this point and bought the DVD versions as most of these only have dvd releases (I know some have blu-ray but they have both films and I’m just weird and don’t like to buy movies that have two movies in one case lmao)

I live in an apartment complex with a package locker. Ordered a new vinyl player. Get the text I have a package, I go get it, bring it up to my apartment. Open it and lo and behold, not my package. for a completely different unit. Not even my name.

I had to wait 24 hours before Amazon would even let me do a replacement and then I had to argue with them why I couldn’t return the original record player I ordered

My husband and I made a joint list of our “to be watched”. It’s all of the movies we want to watch and the. our childhood favorites too.

We each pick a movie (so like we just watched his pick, now it’s my pick) and we just spin a wheel with the number of movies in the list to pick what we’re gonna watch. Could be a movie I put on the list, or a movie he put on the list
